I want to share my profound disappointment with the winery tour I booked through EOS Santa Barbara and subsequent theft.

Days after my outing, EOS charged my credit card $89.70 without so much as a heads‑up or a signature, later identified as a 15 % driver gratuity. I had already tipped the driver directly via Venmo at the end of the day. Adding a second tip, after services were complete and without my consent, is not a “gratuity”; it is money taken without authorization. In any other setting, that would be called theft.

When I asked for an explanation, EOS first said they would remove the charge if I insisted, then claimed the driver reported receiving no tip. This contradictory story only deepened my mistrust.

Additional concerns with the itinerary/experience:
The itinerary ignored my request for quiet, romantic wineries with quality wine; we spent the day shuttling to venues that did not match those preferences.

The driver solicited me for private work—highly unprofessional given I had hired EOS for a packaged tour.

A tour operator who tacks on an undisclosed tip after the fact and calls it standard practice is not providing service; they are taking money that was never agreed upon. Coupled with an itinerary that missed the mark and a driver who looked to bypass the company entirely (and double dip on a tip) this experience fell far below basic professional standards.

I have secured a reversal of the unauthorized charge, but the episode eroded all confidence in EOS Santa Barbara. I will not use or recommend this company. I urge future travelers to confirm, in writing, every potential fee (especially gratuities!) before handing over a credit card.

Amazing experience!! Did a wine tour for my birthday in a 25 passages bus! We got to decorated the inside and play our own music! EOS transportation handled all the reservations for us, so easy! The driver was great and we will definitely do this again!

Nick James and EOS Transportation provided great service for my wife and I, plus our two friends this Labor Day weekend. Nick was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, on time, and consistently drove us from winery to winery making sure our tastings were set up and paid for.

Even though most wineries were booked, Nick found us multiple great locations to attend and we walked right in! The sprinter van for the tours was comfortable and accommodating.

Highly recommend their services if you’re in Santa Barbara and are looking for a guided tour of wine county!

EOS transportation is absolutely incredibly! We came for a bachelorette- Rob was so sweet and attentive, getting us to all wineries on time and a picturesque lunch set up! We could not be more thankful for Nick and Dino setting up such a wonderful event!

A large group of us celebrating a family member's milestone birthday spent the day recently touring selected wineries, dining on a delicious picnic lunch provided by EOS, and enjoying one another while leaving the driving and details to EOS. Adam was the best....courteous, knowledgeable, and most importantly- a safe and skilled bus driver. I will be using them again in the future and would refer family and friends without hesitation when visiting the Santa Barbara area.

Our wine tour with EOS was delightful, very informative and a lot of fun.

The bus was clean and had good air conditioning, we got plenty of water, which made it comfortable for everyone to ride in it.

During the drive to our destinations there was plenty of time to relax and enjoy the landscape; horse farms, beautiful cattle and quaint little villages lay on the way.

George, our driver and tour guide knows the area well and had the best recommendations for the wines to taste in each location.

My favorite winery was the exquisite Tuscan style Sunstone winery. They have great Merlot, Grenache and Syrah wines.

Lunch was served at Andrew Murray’s vineyard outside under the trees and I enjoyed their organic Alisos Syrah.

Then off to Babcock’s: antiques, 80ies music in a huge converted barn with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here the Limit Chardonnay and Ocean Ghost Pinot Noir were outstanding.

What a wonderful way to spend a lovely day in the company of friends and loved ones!

Thank you EOS and thank you George. Looking forward to doing it again.

Our trip to the exotic locations of Santa Barbara with EOS Santa Barbara Wine Tours and Transportation has exempted us to enjoy moments to be cherished for years.
I am pleased that we chose the Santa Ynez Wine Tours to unravel the renowned vineyards and wineries. Make a note to taste the world class wines in these wineries.
