Disappointed that they were closed on a Saturday but we were able to get a feel for what it was like and got some great pictures.

Charlie and his wife made this easily overlooked visitor's center become bigger than the world! Their knowledge and experience of not just this site, but of the entire country was truly amazing! They took the time to share information and personal experiences with us that would have taken us years to discover on our own (if we had discovered them at all). Their kindness, generosity, knowledge, and enthusiasm was a breath of fresh air in today's world. I sincerely encourage you to simply take a few minutes out of your day to stop by, check out the center, and say hello to this beautiful couple. You won't be disappointed!

Closed due to Covid, but no sign posted on the main door and nothing about the closing on the website or Google maps. Overlook was nice and the outside signage was informative.
