Boone County Arkansas Heritage Museum
We searched many historical records here looking for my great grandfather and family members records of lifetime here in Arkansas.
I did check out the museum which was very informative. There were many wonderful items here that would be hard to find and their history is preserved here in the museum. The only bad thing I noticed was no elevator which I do understand, just makes it impossible for copd/Asthma patient. I have no complaints I enjoyed our time here and the helpful volunteer on duty he was extremely nice and helpful with everything.
There was some construction going on but it did not interfere with our visit.
Appreciative, Ruth and Beth from Missouri

We had a great time here. I personally enjoyed the railroad, medical, and confederate exhibits. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable on all subjects and answered all our questions. He took his time and really made us feel welcomed. I can't praise Dakota enough he really knows his stuff!

We had a blast! They have a great railroad display. We moved here a couple of years ago and it was great fun to fill in some of the blanks we had regarding the area. They had a display about a criminal who played himself in a movie and they had the bullet that, I believe was used to shoot him. There was a room full of medical displays and there was an old house set up and some horse equipment that included a full body fly protector! The school room was not organized. This was disappointing because it looked like they had a lot of items that could have been interesting. The third floor was blocked.

I think some of the clutter was due to a railroad presentation that was offered. Unfortunately, we missed it as the way it was advertised we thought it would be ongoing during the day. We did get in free and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Loads of information!

Amazing to see this old high school building set up as a museum. The exhibits were overflowing with items to look at and learn from. The staff was very friendly. It was well worth the $5. I got a spooky vipe the farther I went up the stairs. Might have been because I was the only one there at the time.
