We spend three nights in a cabin so that we could go crystal digging in the area. Love the cabin and the surrounding area. Bring food as nothing is nearby. Cabin is comfortable and clean (you have to bring your own bedding and all supplies. It is a cabin not a hotel.) Heater works great as does the hot water. We have greatly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying here. Make reservations online.

Wish I would have gotten the name of the gentleman that went out of his way making phone calls to get me and my girlfriend into a air-conditioned cabin #5 at the last minute. The beautiful pathway took us to a stone cabin with pine logs for beams. Cabin had views of the lake and private BBQ grill ,swinging love seat on porch. Take in the history, This was a summer camp for girl scouts for over 50yrs. Enjoy the trails or swim in the lake. Weather you want a weekend away from people or a family trip , I recommend checking this one out. Definitely want to come back.

We had our wedding here,it's reasonable. Just make sure you take pictures of any damage you notice before you stay. They will try and charge you for other people's mishaps. Christian my butt.

We had our wedding here in November of this year. Everyone from camp Ouachita was easy to work with. It is a very reasonably priced venue. They had two sets of chairs (one brown metal and one white wedding chairs), tables, a bridal room(with no heat!), a full kitchen with buffet tables and rolling carts, 7 cabins on site. We rented the cabins for our family and wedding party. We were prepared for them to be completely bare but they did have toilet paper, paper towels, soap, coffee cups, and Keurig. We packed all of these things in addition to the linens (that you DO need) because we were unsure if they would be there or not. It is a beautiful setting for a wedding we ended up with 120 and didn’t have trouble with parking. It was tight but not unreasonable. Clean up was easy, but be ready to haul all excess trash to a local business to dump it due to animal activity if it can’t fit in the very small dumpster it needs to be removed. We took it to a nearby gas station and asked the manager for permission to use his dumpster, they were very friendly. It is an older more rustic area, some of the doors didn’t work and small things are a little run down but over all it is very nice.

Very nice venue to have pretty much any kind of event there. We were there for a Boy Scout Eagle Court of Honor. Perfect setting. They used wooden recyclables forks and brown paper for table cloths, and paper service containers. Lots of way to decorate to suit any occasion.

Definitely out in the sticks, minimal parking for large events, but if you want a true getaway, you're set. Nice cabins, beautiful lake compliments gorgeous scenery.
