We camped at Gypsy two nights. It was a great location and our group of 4 had plenty of space in site #2 with a 19 foot travel trailer and a tent. We met Jared to get prepared for the Rapids Run float the first morning and he had our 4 person raft ready to go. He was such a fun guy and we enjoyed his energy at the take out and on the 15 minute bus ride back to camp. You can definitely tell he loves what he does. 10/10 would come back!!

Always a blast, and everyone is super friendly! This is our go to float in the area. Good for all levels of experience, in my opinion. The most challenging spot is at the kayak park, but you can easily walk around that area if you aren't comfortable with it.

This was my second time/year being to Gypsy Camp!! We kayaked this year on the OG which is the 4 mile. It was very fun, first time I have ever been kayaking. The rapids were not as scary as I thought they would be, had lots of laughs and quality outdoor time. We beached a couple of times to swim and take breaks. This 2-3 hr, 4 mile trip could easily be turned into a 5-6 hr trip if depending on how much paddling or stopping you do. We had such a great time!! Thank you to the staff for being so nice and welcoming.
Last year we went on the OG 4 mile float on a 6 person raft, this was just as fun!!
I highly recommend Gypsy Camp!! Have fun and stay safe!!

We came to NW Arkansas from Texas for our annual family reunion. We joined a group of our younger cousins for what turned out to be a terrific float trip on the Illinois. Gypsy Camp personnel were the best, our canoe was great and we had the best day visiting, swimming, floating on the river. We will be back next year!

My kids had fun kayaking on the 4-mile trip from the kayak park back down to the campground. We basically had the place to ourselves since it was a weekday. The favorite part for my kids was exploring the old buildings. We had campsite #19; it was so pretty and right on the water. The two staffers we met were very friendly and informative. The only con I had was the porta-potty (there was a bathhouse with bathrooms and showers, but the porta-potty is closest to the camp); there was a group of wasps inside and the toilet paper rolls were on the floor with the blue chemicals on them. The bathhouses by the office were super clean. We would definitely come here again.

Love Gypsy camp! The 4-mile float is the perfect amount and is absolutely beautiful. I love that the class 2 rapids at the kayak park (where they put you in at) are optional ?

Real toilets available at Gypsy is always a plus too ?

A beautiful trip! Take your time, enjoy the day! Stop along the way for a lunch and swim!

The folks here are super! Helpful, courteous, pleasant. The equipment is well maintained. If our travels take us through, we'll definitely be using their services again!
