The Big Dam has a catchy name and splash opportunities for just about every age. There's a few things that are missing that would help make the experience a better one. Fans with misters help keep guest cool during their visit especially during extremely hot or humid days. More shaded areas to avoid baking in the sun...while there are those that appreciate a good chance to tan unevenly, most moms can appreciate a little shade. The admission was about $28 per person and there is a discount for military and seniors, however, please plan to pay even if you don't plan to put your pinky toe in any water. I would also recommend offering the same beverages at each station to avoid searching for a Gatorade or bottled water at the gift store and food hut (which had limited food options). There's massive slides, a lounging river, wave pool, and splash pad areas for the tots. Overall it was decent especially for something to do in the area and it's nearby major hotels which is convenient for those traveling.

Kids loved it went on a Friday no wait, lots of activities but if you have kids 12 and under this is great everyone got in the wave pool great family experience. Tickets were cheaper on Groupon take advantage if you have a large party. Plenty of sitting space.

We came for Father’s Day. It was amazing! New owners have turned this park around. Water is clean staff is attentive and on point. There is more shade than last year! Park is cleaner than last year as well. Very much enjoyed spending the day and will be buying season passes!!!

We love Big Dam, we live an hour away and don’t have a public pool or waterpark nearby so we bought season passes and come every weekend. There is something for all ages, it’s so clean, never overly crowded we always have so much fun.

My niece and I love the Big Dam Waterpark so much! I live an hour away from Texarkana and I try to come at least once a week and it is so relaxing to lay on a tube in the lazy river or wave jump in the wave pool. And the concession food is also worth trying!

This was the perfect place to go OUTSIDE of that merciless Texas heat. Just over the state line into Arkansas. And my daughters loved it! Staff was friendly and even offered military discounts.

A great place to take your whole family. We are exhausted from having a great time. I'm absolutely happy they opened this place up. Clean, friendly environment and such a blast!!!

I’m local and bought 5 season plus tickets. I’m grateful for very good staff that smile and stay diligent with their work and keeping people safe. I’ve bought season tickets over the years when it was another name and another management. This is managed much better. My three stars has to do with the cooler pass. Locals should not have to buy a $30 cooler pass for every time they enter the park. I understand wanting sales all summer long at their concessions, but that is asking a lot from plus season ticket members. We come several times a week. I’d rather care for their basic needs in my cooler and be at the park all day and splurge on treats at the concessions stand. Please consider a better arrangement for next season.
