Great spot to see birds and other wildlife up close. Lots of parking and nice view

There is a Bathroom and a 3.5 mile walk around the various Water lots. Seasonal activity and dogs should be on a leash, bring water for them. Everyone is nice and helpful. The Office in located at the end of the Main road.
They accept calls during business hours and have an automated gate for closure.

This place is absolutely amazing the best. I go for a drive here everyday and so blessed. I see bald eagles and hawks and deer and cranes and otters and owls and pheasants and snakes you name it. Defiantly recommend this place

Really nice relaxing place to stop and stretch your legs just south of Alturas, CA on US 395. No tables or restroom.

Great refuge, has something for everyone. Waterfowl hunting, walking trails, auto route, visitor center/office and bird watching. This refuge has excellent management and employees. Have been coming here for many years.
