After learning about O Frabjous Day from attending a friend's wedding which Laura had expertly planned and coordinated, I hired Laura to help me with planning my own wedding, which had some unique and non-traditional elements which presented logistical challenges. On top of that, both our ceremony and reception venues were new to her as a wedding coordinator. She nailed it! She was a pleasure to work with, organized, detailed, and experienced, and took our feedback into account along the way. She made the planning process infinitely better than it would have been without her, and her day-of services meant I could actually enjoy my wedding as a guest of honor. We worked with Laura for a little over a year leading up to our wedding and it was hands down the best wedding decision we made! From advising us on vendors to making budget-friendly decor recommendations, Laura's guidance helped us immensely throughout the planning process. As a queer couple, we also really wanted someone who could help us change or discard traditions that didn't work for us and instead create a celebration tailored to us, and help us avoid the most cis/heteronormative parts of weddings (tons of gendered language, prescriptive roles, etc.). Laura was absolutely amazing. Laura is a seasoned veteran, she can guide you through every step of planning any event with grace and competence. She was the gift we didn't know we needed, and every day we kept thinking, "THANK GOD for Laura!" Laura was brought on only 2.5 months (cause we're dumb- don't do that if you can help it!) prior to our wedding and even on that short notice she was able to get our event off without a hitch. Planning a wedding during COVID & fire season is no easy feat and Laura made sure our vender contracts were accommodating and that we had contingency plans in place if we needed them. She is exceptionally organized, warm and available. Every meeting felt like we were chatting with a friend. On the day of the event, we are sure things went wrong, but we did know about it! Laura made sure we were able to remain present and enjoy our wedding day to the fullest.
