Just went to Bonair with this dive company. Love how professional they are and you can tell Doug and Tina love what they do and love to show others how amazing diving is. I was so anxious about certifying but their team of instructors have the patience of a Saint. They were amazing and now I am hooked and Bonair was my second trip with a third on the books. We even got our daughter certified at the age of 15 years old and she has a new life long love ❤️

Doug and Tine of High Sierra Divers are truly amazing! We pulled in one day to ask about the diving certification process and a year in a half later we are SSI Open Water Divers, Enriched Air Nitrox and Night Diving/Limited Visibility certified. We did all our training with High Sierra and they made it fun and easy to understand! We have been building our Scuba equipment, piece by piece and love how we were not "up-sold" on things we didn't need.

We, my (wife/daughter and myself) used that training on a family dive drive to Cayman Islands last October and just returned from a High Sierra Diver coordinated dive trip to Bonaire, Dutch Carribean. HSD did an amazing job of sharing information regarding the site, air travel, travel and dive insurance (for those that wanted it) and what to expect. For instance, the island runs on a different cycle of 110V electricity and advised everyone to being an adaptor and/or converter. This was extremely important for medical equipment, flashlight and cell phone chargers.

Once we arrived and for safety, Doug offered/conducted "refresher check dives" to ensure their clients were familiar with the location and that all equipment was functioning properly. HSD also coordinated our boat dives and we (the whole group) were paired with divers of the same experience level which really enhanced our time underwater.

I’ve been on 2 dive trips, taken a course, and bought some equipment from HSD over the last 6 years. The trips are outstanding! 5-star. Doug does a great job and is incredibly supportive and responsive (it must be exhausting!) to people’s needs and requests while on the trips. I live across the country and Doug has gone out of his way to consult, provide advice, obtain and send gear. I recently purchased a dive computer. In this trip he recognized that when I had taken the back off and replaced it (completely unnecessary because he had already put a new battery in it before shipping) that the threads had become stripped. Not only did he accompany me to a local dive shop in Egypt in an attempt to find a replacement back cover; he sent me a new one when we got home. Without me even asking!!!! Top notch customer service! And knowing I was super anxious about diving again (long story) he was my dive buddy and so gently and patiently supported me in returning to this sport that I really like. Thank you, Doug, for being the incredible shop owner and dive master that you are!

I got certified with High Sierra Divers. Years later when my son was 12 he wanted to get certified and High Sierra Divers is the only dive shop that I would trust with my kid. He became a great diver and we dove all over together. I have purchased all my scuba equipment from them because of my trust in them, their knowledge about what they sell, the service they provide and the way they stand behind what they sell. Doug and Tina are the best!

Decent shop. Good selection of gear but also felt that is was pretty expensive. I bought rocker fins back in 2011 and they were just over $300. A scuba mask here on average is $80. The shop owner is decent and tried his best to make sure I had the right gear for my dive but I got a little frustrated when he was telling me what depth I should or shouldn't go to, where I should or shouldn't go diving, and made me feel dumb for not wearing gloves because it would be "really cold" (I ended up not wearing gloves and did fine). I am still somewhat new to the sport at 25 dives which were all done in the ocean rather than at elevation but I didn't feel like the change in altitude presented any more challenges then my previous dives, my experience at the shop made me feel very judged for not knowing enough and although I tend to extend grace in most encounters with businesses, unfortunately I don't think I will be back to this location.
