No frills cabins. Hot water and ample kitchen. Need more pillows and blankets, no hair dryer. No on site assistance. Clean cabins but bring your extras. Good for a cheap overnight. Nice water and chess and views, close to town.

The location and serene, woodsy environment can’t be beat. It was very relaxing, quiet and peaceful. The view and access to the lake is perfect. I will say that this is a very rustic retreat, which I actually love. However, it may not be for everyone. There is a desperate need for an update on the mattresses and living room furniture. Horrible mattresses and one of the cloth chairs was beyond filthy! There’s no excuse for this. It’s a simple upgrade that is not very costly. If you’re looking for a 4-5 star resort, this certainly is not it. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that is an experience reminiscent of camping with the basic luxury of a kitchen and bath, and possibly not the best night of sleep- this is it. Overall, our stay was nice, but I would love to see this resort at its full potential with a few easy upgrades.

First time going to Big Bear and stayed at this lodge, which was recommended by my friends. First impression was what a great view of the lake. We were like a few hundred feet from the lake. We were the only ones staying there for the week so we pretty much had the whole lodge to ourselves. They have different size available lodges which can accommodate different situations. I went with 3 other friends so we didn't need too much space. Very clean cabins. There were a few issues with our cabin but being as old as the lodge is it's understandable. Pet friendly and there's plenty of activities to do with the family. We will be returning next year for sure but probably get a bigger cabin. I do recommend this lodge.

The location was amazing, it was close to the village and snow play. Lake side with views. They have common area with big fireplace good for big group/company excursion. Pet friendly. However, the internet was really bad. We stayed in Sunset Cabin. We couldn't watch movies properly on the day we decided to stay in because of the rain. Not one utensil are the same, plates, glassware and mugs were also assorted - there was only one mug/coffee cup. No exhaust in the kitchen or bathroom.

This place is Very old and outdated. We had our family reunion there with 25 people and we had all the cabins. It hasn’t been updated ever and I stayed there when I was 20 years old and that was 40+ yrs ago. The beds and couches sink to the floor when sitting or laying on them. Windows are rotted and can’t open. The picnic tables are all weathered and wood is rotted, glad I Brought plastic table cloths. Jacuzzi was broken which we didn’t know until we got there and you couldn’t swim at night they locked the gate. One cabin smelt really really bad of smoke from someone having a fire in the fireplace. Location is great right on the lake. Its no way was worth $300 per night.

The Cabin is in a decent location. It is near the head of Big bear, near the entrance and village area. The ground have a few game set ups like horse shoes and volleyball. There is a small playground and pier too. The Cabin it self could use a few some upgrades and some love. I don't mind the rustic look, but I do mind dusty, damn near need to go to Goodwill furniture and blankets. It could definitely use an upgrade in there. The point of going to places like this is to not stay inside. When I am inside though I should enjoy it. The place we got had 2 bedroom and 2 baths. First room had 2 queens (maybe full‍♂️). Second room and a queen/twin bunk bed and a barley holding together pull out couch. The second room had its own entry door too. Our place did have a bbq and our own patio area and it allows pets for a fee. We booked through an arb&b site I guess cheaper if you go direct with the site(save ?).

It was not what we expected, everything was very old and the lack of maintenance, the heater was too noisy all night, the internet. very bad, I do not recommend cabin 101. and the kitchen sink water faucet did not work, the cleaning was very bad. Besides, in the office they give you the address of the cabin, which is miles away and a wrong address. First and last time that I settle in this place

My boyfriend and I are fans of the authentic look of an old cabin and were delighted with the cabin we stayed in, which sleeps 2 in the bedroom and also had a charming sitting area with fireplace, a pretty and useful kitchen and a small but adequate bathroom with shower. We appreciated the old photos and other touches from earlier times. There are many cabins to choose from, some directly fronting the lake.||The property has its own dock and a swimming pool among other amenities. The site managers were very friendly and helpful. Discount vouchers are offered for use at two different nearby marina locations to rent boats or other recreational equipment. You bring your own food as there is no restaurant on the premises but several nearby. This was a quiet and restful place to stay. We had to deduct one point for the fact that the bed we slept in was not entirely level. We were told this problem is being addressed but this did not happen during our 2-night stay.
