A Welcoming Haven During a Crisis

During a recent evacuation due to a fire, we were overwhelmed and struggling to find a place to stay. Thankfully, we found this wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us warmly and ensured we had everything we needed. They even offered further assistance if necessary, making us feel truly cared for.

The rates were approximately $50 less than other places we considered, and they did not charge for our small dog, whereas another place wanted $35 a day. They also accommodated our request for a ground floor room with easy access, which was incredibly helpful.

The amenities were excellent, including a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, alarm clock, landline, and air-conditioned room. The room itself was quiet and clean, providing a much-needed respite from the chaos outside.

Special mention to the housekeeper, Loretta, who checked on us every time we saw her, ensuring our stay was comfortable.

Overall, this hotel is a great small-town nugget, centrally located for all your gold country adventures. Highly recommended!

We flew in from out of town. We were told before we even checked in that we were staying at "the bad one." This is what followed.

We arrived in the evening to a room that did not have a smoke detector, waste basket, or hand soap. The shampoo dispenser was half full while the body wash was empty. We were given three towels despite the fact the reservation was for four people.

Night 2: Came to a room that had not been refreshed at all. Beds not made or Clean towels. Also found stains on comforters and sheets. Had to call the manager to get anything. He explained that housekeeping had taken the day off because it was too hot. He said they would not enter our room without our permission. When has that ever been a thing? We were asked if we wanted to change rooms. We changed rooms. The new room had a smoke detector, waste basket, hand soap, and the basic necessities. However, there was no weather stripping on the door and the gap was large enough that you could almost let yourself in with a credit card.

Nights that followed: Called the manager for clean towels. Ran out of toilet paper half way through our eight day stay. The manager said he would take care of it. He forgot to. I called the next day asking for toilet paper and finally got it. Along with the three towels because the fourth one is too much to ask.

On the final full day before we left, we suspect that housekeeping came. The beds were made and fresh towels were left. Our toothbrushes and toothpaste were gone. Our bar of soap that we purchased was gone but the residue was left in the shower. Our deodorant was also taken. WHY?!

In Room 113, there is a flyer asking for good reviews to change the bad reputation of this motel. They won't get one from us. Good riddance.

My boys and I had a wonderful experience. The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous and the owner had a very easy going demeanor. I showed up a little bit early and they were nice enough to let us get situated and when I needed to leave my car past check out they were very understanding and accommodating. Updated rooms and a nice park nearby!

5 star review. Here's why. Our room was very clean and looked recently renovated. The room also showcased a very modern Look. Large mini Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker (with coffee,tea creamer, sugar) 2 bottles of water sitting on long dresser table. There were even 4 live plants in the room. Body wash and conditioner dispensers mounted to shower wall. New plumbing fixtures and matching door/towel bar hardware. Xtra large California King Bed appeared to be brand new, very comfortable and pillows very firm and brand new as well. All towels and rags like new. Shower cap and sewing kit also included. Lots of dresses space for clothing. Twin size pull out bed/couch in sitting area adds to comfort of this large room.
The standard rate for this room is less than $100 which is a great value. During checkin, the staff was extremely friendly. All the staff was friendly during the duration of our stay. 5 star rating for this hotel. It is obvious that they make customer comfort a priority. Well done!

I stayed at the belagio last year,,my room was just as clean at Sierra inn,,and the setting by the river is excellent,,very peaceful,,very clean rooms,,the outside looks a little like it's going through construction.

Very clean room, extremely friendly owner and employees. Everyone is very respectful and responsive if we request anything. Jay shared some delicious Indian food with us. Cops are very satisfied with his work. He really turned it around. Another great immigrant story for sure. I will definitely go back to stay here if in the area again.

The rooms were renovated as claimed, and they all looked really nice. The new owners were very attentive but still gave our privacy great respect. The bed was huge and super comfortable, and the air conditioner worked great. My girlfriend and I had planned to go hiking, but we were so comfortable just hanging out in the hotel that we stayed at the hotel a lot more than we had intended.
