Good communication but Breen should not have leased out Sandy Beach property. It didn't inspect it well. Dirty carpets, sheets and pillows sad at best, stained and dirty oceanview windows and plexiglass on deck, window handles fall off. Rusty screws sticking out of decking on stairs to beach, railing fell off. So much potential but so little upkeep. Even had Cephalon pans with the coating peeling--unsafe! Great views and location but poor condition. Third time renting in Cambria. Really like it, but not this house.

Have used Breen for several rentals for our visits to Cambria. Rentals have always been great.
One issue was a rental property that sold and our reservation was canceled a week before our arrival. Would suggest Breen let renters know as soon as a property is up for sale so alternate plans can be made as needed.

Awesome beach home, secluded, perfect views of ocean just feet away! Can’t wait til next years family get together, oh, and very affordable, best deal we’ve seen on CenCal coast! Going on 7th year of monthly vacations in area on beach.

We use their property management services for our short term vacation home in Cambria. So far we've had a friendly and professional experience. We went with them because when purchasing the house, I needed some info on how much roughly I could rent the home for and specifically Jeannine, (representing Breen), she was only one who would take the time to correspond with me about that information. I needed the info for purchasing purposes but didn't officially have the home in my possession.
Other property management places either couldn't help me because they didn't do short term rentals or I had to wait unti I had the property (after escrow) so they could come and see it and then give me estimates.
Eventually I did have the property and Breen once again was wonderful when it came to giving me info (again) on what the place needed to be rent ready and linkage to a handy-man when needed.
If you're considering using a property management company for your property, I recommend Breen.

Quite literally the worst vacation rental experience. I will lay out our experience below so you can laugh/sympathize and hopefully learn from our mistake of going with Breen Vacation Station.
1. The home was not as advertised.
2. We let them know, spent our entire day communicating with the team and then the owner to finally arrange a refund.
3. We move book ANOTHER vacation rental with a different company while we are in Cambria.
4. Breen Vacation Station ensures us we will be refunded ASAP.
5. We are not refunded and I contact them 2 weeks after the stay.
6. No reply
7. I contact them again.
8. Finally a reply. They say they had already refunded me (nope. not true).
9. I FINALLY GET A REFUND (dated almost 1 month after our intended stay, mind you)-- A FRACTION OF WHAT THEY SAID THEY'D GIVE US BACK.
10. I don't even know what to do.
11. This is quite literally the worst vacation rental experience of my life. They are disorganized and dishonest....not the best way to do business in my humble opinion.
I will update this if they choose to correct the problem.

I cannot say enough about this company. Everything is perfect. Even better than we anticipated. And I give a hands down to the team that cleans this house. It is immaculate. So happy we found them and got a little taste of paradise at the Inn Above Tide. Will definitely be back. Thank you for making our first anniversary a memory we will never forget!!!!

My family and I stayed at the 1086 Hillcrest rental the week of Thanksgiving and had a horrible and exhausting experience dealing with this rental management company. The downstairs master suite had mold growing on the carpet by the stairs. The smell was so strong it actually could be smelled upstairs in the main dining area. The company did not warn us about this and they did not send anyone to come and treat it/ remove it. Looking back through reviews since 2011 this property seems to have had a long standing issue with this that they have not handled. They reimbursed us an inadequate amount and we actually had to go stay somewhere else for some nights to get away from the mold. While I understand that this sort of thing happens all of the time with rental properties, their lack of communication prior and the subsequent communication during our stay did not remedy the situation. I would advise people against using this company simply because of their poor communication and poor customer service.
