The visitor center is nice. Discusses the history of the Dam construction that formed lake Oroville. You have views of the lake side of the dam. Discusses the Native Americans who inhabited the area. There is a very interesting film about the construction of the dam. This is well worth seeing.

Good place to take the family to learn more about the area. The museum is free and covers the Indian tribe, gold rush, dam, and other things. Expect to spend some time reading and looking at the exhibits to learn more.

There is a gift shop for purchasing souvenirs.
