I love it at the Golden Oaks Motel! Great management and excellent service.The location is so convenient when you've traveled a ways and need a place to crash. Everything is walking distance, Golden Oaks is the place to stay! The only thing is the WiFi could use improvement.

We got locked out of our paid for room twice and could not reach management by phone or at motel in person. The sign says open, but not really true. I was over charged $650 over the internet price of $85 @ night. There are no soda and snack machines, with no on site laundry as well.

Love the newly redone motel! Been 10 years since I stayed here since previous owners. Thrilled to see the RVIT has taken ownership and turned the motel into a comfortable, modern restful escape and oasis for weary travelers coming into Covelo. Pleasantly surprised at how friendly and accommodating the new staff is. Cozy rooms, good appliances, wonderful A/C, good wifi, nice lighting, hot showers. Already booked another reservation here.?

Great little place to stay! Sis and Dove make you feel like family. Comfortable beds nice water pressure the water got very hot. Was in town for work and enjoyed every minute here. Will definitely be seeing them again really soon.

We have stayed here several times, only game in town. Its a nice motel, it was recently remodeled, rooms are nice! The past two times we have stayed here, the service and cleanliness have gone down hill. Our bathroom was dirty upon arrival, still had previous occupants stuff in it. Bathroom never got clean. It seems like they just wipe down and vaccuum. I am not a picky person, but I don't like other people dirt and odor, thats just gross. Its a shame because, it really is a nice motel and they did such a good job remodelling, but I am afraid its gonna end up a dump if they dont find someone who knows how to manage a motel and keep it clean.

Completely remodeled nice little motel. Owners very personable. ||Only downside is it takes awhile for Joy water to get hot but once it arrives it's excellent hot and always great water pressure! They have done a great job here. Glad we stayed & we'll be back...

Use this motel a lot because I travel there for work. It is Spartan and basic. It was remodeled, but it has VERY HIGH USE and is showing it's wear. Use shows cause contractors, roofers, tree trimmers, everyone who travels to work in this area and stays over, stays here. My last trip had every room but mine taken by Forestry staff attending a tree falling workshop. Which means muddy boots, chainsaws and tools that aren't left in the cars are hauled into the rooms. I don't recommend leaving anything of value in cars, as the entire area is a little rough. Recommend that if you are going to stay here, check the room for being cleaned and supplied (coffee) immediately, and if not satisfactory, state so quickly so the management can attend to it before late evening. They will do so, very nice people, just having problems with getting good help. Some of the shower faucets are tricky to get the hot water (#13), check as soon as you get in and if you can't get hot water-go back to the office for instructions on how to get turn the knob. Bring a blanket for placing over the couch, as they are getting rough treatment by work crews, and wear socks on the carpets. TV is difficult to operate, bring a book or a movie on CD for your computer, there is no internet service. No refrigerator either.||Your only other option is to drive to Willits for nightly accommodations is 1 hour back to Hwy 101 and then south, quite a commute. Okay for a shower and a place to lay your head at night, don't expect more.
