DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their responsiveness is poor and it cost us our deposit!

We paid a deposit on their website on May 31 for a graduation party on June 22. We left a voicemail at their office the same day asking them to contact us about the party and their rentals. We received no reply from them until June 4 and the only reply was an invoice. No communication about our event. No confirmation. No reply to our voicemail. Just an invoice. So we moved on and found a different rental company to work with. I left another voicemail with Family Affair on June 19 stating I needed a refund of our deposit since we never received confirmation from them. This time I received an immediate call back. Interesting that they were so quick to respond when I left a message about a refund but they had never responded to our previous message, aside from an invoice emailed. The person at Family Affair indicated that they would not be refunding our deposit because they had sent us an invoice on June 4 and we should have understood that this meant we were confirmed. Despite not responding to our voicemails and never contacting us beyond an emailed invoice, we should have known that we were confirmed. The person also told us that their contract states that deposits are non refundable. I asked when did we sign a contract? She replied ‘well you didn’t sign a contract but when you paid your deposit, we have a contract”

She did apologize that they never responded to our previous voicemails but told me they would not refund our deposit.

This company has extremely poor communication, is not responsive (until you ask for a refund), and has no problem keeping a deposit when their lack of responsiveness caused a problem for the customer.

Buyer beware. Find a different company to work with!!

Buyers Be Aware!!!!!! Ordered Tent, table and chairs for an outdoor repast for my mother. I ordered a white tent a USED to be white extremely dirty tent arrived. When the operations manager arrived with the linens that were forgotten she stated that is how their tents look and that the dirt was normal. When I wiped the part of the tent I could reach with a paper towel it was BLACK.

The MAJOR ISSUE is that two chairs broke as soon as two family members over 60 sat in the chairs. They fell straight to the floor and were injured. When we called the company they expressed little empathy and simply said we have insurance.

If you want a great memorable occasion do not use this company.

Ordered 11 tables and white chairs for an event last Saturday!! 2 tables wrong size did not sit flush against one another when pushed together.. assumed all tables would be the same size!! Our fault should have asked!! White chairs dirty!! Had to clean chairs before guest arrived was hosting a WHITE party! Very unacceptable!!! May think twice before using there services again!! This company has got to do better!!!

We used this company for an event we held this past weekend. We had a very positive experience. Everything we ordered from the tent, tables and chairs arrived ahead of schedule. As a result, we were able to decorate/set up hours prior to our guests arrival.
We appreciated the staff taking the time to arrange and lay out the items under the tent without us asking. It really helped us to bring about our vision for the food arrangement,, drinks, decor and walk paths, etc.
We found rental fees to be very affordable, and we would recommend your services to friends and family!

Our daughter was married on July 4th and we needed a tent with tables and chairs. So we contacted “A Family Affair. They were so helpful and caring. We booked this about two weeks out and we had to make changes and add items several times. Every time we added or changed the order they accommodate us every time. The young lady in the office that we talked to make the change was so nice and professional. Rich and his crew were awesome, very nice and professional. We would highly and I mean highly recommend “A Family affair “

I would like to thank A Family Affair for an excellent job. Jada was very easy to work with in the planning stage. Rich, the owner, was great with the delivery, and set up. Rich didn't just set up the tent he set up all the tables and chairs. (if you have ordered tents, tables and chairs before you will know that is not typically done.) This is my new go to tent company. The owner Rich was working right along with his crew. They set us up two days before our event( 25yr wedding anniversary cookout).
The prices are reasonable also. I got TWO TENTS for the price of ONE tent from a Dover tent rental location.
I'll be using them again.

We used A Family Affair September 2018 for our sons party and the service was excellent! We were last minute too. Dropped of tables and chairs first thing in the morning. Everything was clean and in great working order.
