AAA Membership has been disappointing and without value! After being a loyal Premier member for years, I will cancel my membership at the end of this term. Many reasons have brought me to this decision. 1. Primarily, the AAA business model is poor. Only a few days into my annual premier ($289) membership, I learned that I am locked in for the next year. I CAN NOT change the service level of membership? Yes, AAA allows changes in the payment "window" prior to the effective annual commencement period. 2 Extremely disappointed with AAA Travel Services. AAA (similar to other travel agencies) controls ALL Travel plans through 3rd party providers. The quality of actual products is up charged and value, which is certainly not there. 3. AAA Insurance is rendered through 3rd parties. Once again, consumers can obtain competitive insurance through other sources. In closing, AAA is an expense services with are not a value and can be obtained cost-effectively through many other sources.

Would put 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible service. Stuck in Philadelphia at 8:30pm and was told they had no tow truck drivers to get the car or help us. Been members for 15 years and this unacceptable horrible service.

Easy to pay become a membership, hard and waste a lot time to get any service from them! I travel a lot and been a member for more than two years, never had a call that easily solved my problems. Every time has different problems from dispatch or driver or pay extra for tolls when I need a tow! (Which DE premier members don’t need to pay toll by their policy). And I just waste my whole weekend for a free battery benefit and still didn’t get the battery! Lots of troubles! I can write a book to list how many troubles you will meet when you need their services! Just cancelled my membership renewal, I am tired with AAA! Thanks!

This is for Triple AAA members in general. I purchased a battery through Triple AAA, and was quoted a price $30 higher when the service technician responded. He said that the difficulty of installing the battery was the reason for the upcharge. I told him NO!!!!! Leave the battery and I would install it myself. It took less than 5 minutes. BUYERS BEWARE. The price for the battery was reasonable, but the upcharge for install was ridiculous. If installing batteries is part of your regular duties, why would it be so difficult for anyone to install a battery.

Been a member since 2000, needed service yesterday with a flat tire. Took 3 hours to get to us! Immediately canceled membership. Not worth it.

I've had AAA Midatlantic insurance for years and have been a AAA member since 1989. My agent is recently no longer with the company. I called Customer Service who informed me that, if I wish to have a specific agent for my policy, I have to go into a AAA office and fill out a paper form to have a specific agent assigned to me. I submit the paper form at the office and wait for them to get back to me, no timetable is given for the response. My other option is to call an 800 number and speak to whomever answers the call.

Never had an issue with AAA. They have an app, everything is done online, including automatic billing for insurance payments, electronic proof of insurance forms. But, really, AAA? Go to a physical office and fill out a paper request form just to have a point of contact for my insurance policy? In 2023? Such a bad customer service process. You should fix that

I would prefer to be raked over the coals paying for towing myself and hunting them down myself. My brakes failed and had to park the truck into the closest spot I could find. The issue was that the lot gets locked up in the evenings and when not in use. I called and waited for three hours. I even called the tow company directly. Luckily, I was local and had someone get me. The representative’s response was, “Sorry, we are busy. Try calling tomorrow.” No "Are you able to get home?" No "Can we help you make arrangements home or set up towing for the morning?"
They were told from the first call a timely response was needed due to lot closure (they had three hours!). I ended up paying for a tow out of pocket rather than using my benefits. Will be looking into other points of care for emergency road service.

My daughter had a flat tire and called AAA. She was told it would be an hour at most so she waited on the side of busy road for over two hours in the dark and despite calling for updates no one from AAA ever showed up. Luckily a nice man stopped to help her but you never know what could have happened. Called AAA to complain and was told they don’t have enough people working. So what are AAA members paying for? It’s a joke. Don't waste your money.
