The AC Marriott Hotel in downtown San Rafael is a beautifully designed hotel. It’s very new and the aesthetic is European very clean in its design. The lobby is spacious and a great space to work. They also have a big cozy couch with a fireplace . LThey have a restaurant with a great breakfast. The rooms are very clean and large. I love the way the bathroom and the shower are designed. The hotel itself is accessible to downtown San Rafael as well as it’s very easy to get around all of Marin. I want to give a special shout out to the front desk and specifically Jennifer. Jennifer is an absolute professional who is kind and friendly and most importantly you can count on her to take care of all your needs. It’s the kind of service you look for in a hotel that sets it apart.

The AC Marriott San Rafael is a good place to stay if you are in the Marin area. It’s centrally located and close to the downtown San Rafael area with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. They have a good workout facility available if that’s what you need. The rooms and pretty spacious and comfy for a quick trip. They have a rooftop bar area that looks nice, but it did close early due to high winds the night I was there. They did have an indoor bar near the lobby, but it seemed to be closed when I was there. ||Pros: |1) Close to downtown area with plenty of restaurants within walking distance |2) Rooms and lobby were clean and spacious |3) Staff was friendly and helpful||Cons: |1) Parking is very limited, so you may need to find street parking. Be mindful of parking meters and hours of operation. |2) No evening night bar options in the hotel were available. ||Overall, it’s a good place to stay. Keep the parking situation in mind, but that can be worked out. ||@nomoneytravelguy

I stayed at the AC Hotel in San Rafael for 2 weeks and it was a wonderful home base. The hotel is consistently comfortable, modern and clean. The location is unbeatable. And the staff and service are friendly and accommodating. I also loved the daily breakfast with great food and exceptional service, making all my days off to a happy, healthy start. This is now my go-to hotel in San Rafael and Marin.

Clean, modern, great rooms, rooftop bar is a plus! Area is great in downtown. Would recommend for a trip to Marin county. Family friendly, there is an awesome coffee and play area less than a block away.

I stayed here in April and have no complaints! The location downtown was phenomenal and the room was clean with a nice view! They also have a lounge and a beautiful roof top bar that serves some great food and drink! Jell was my server and she recommended the Manila clams and they did not disappoint!! Will be staying here again on my next trip!

My family had to travel to the Bay Area for unfortunate circumstances (family member in the hospital). This hotel was the one bright spot. The location is perfect, the rooms were great and the staff was excellent. We all thought the price for the location was very good. If we have to return, we will definitely stay here again.
