The Adam's County Historical Society and it's staff are fantastic. The museum is a must see. The Beyond the Battle portion will immerse you in what it would have been like to be a civilian during the intense battle that took place in the town in 1863. The volunteers answered all of our questions and were super friendly. Looking forward to our next visit with family and friends.

This should be on your "Must See" list when visiting Gettysburg. This new venue provides a different perspective on the history of Gettysburg and Adam's County. We especially enjoyed seeing what the local residents experienced during the battle. The "Caught in the Crossfire" immersive experienced is both exciting and sombering.

Adams County Historical Society has impressed me every time I’ve gone. They opened their doors with Beyond The Battlefield and we bought tickets as soon as they opened. It was an amazing experience and the rest of the museum had an enormous amount of history and information to absorb. We returned this past weekend for the Gettysburg Movie 30th Anniversary and their execution of the event was flawless. Even any snags had happy endings. If you are in the area, stop in! You might even get to see some of the amazing Battlefield Guides; Tim and Garry! Both wonderful at what they do and so knowledgeable!

We hosted a leadership development event for 60 participants, and this was the perfect location! Not only is the space, beautiful, and has all the necessary sound system technology, but the staff are so helpful and supportive. I highly recommend this location for events.

Gettysburg Beyond The Battle is truly IMERSIVE. Just count the bullet holes that missed you in the cabin. I counted 11 and escaped with my life. I can only imagine the horror of it all.

The museum is extremely well done and offers a much more comprehensive look at Gettysburg and Adams County from prehistory to the present day. Great artifacts with a reasonable use of audio/visuals to tell some of the most captivating moments in local history. Well worth a visit to better understand life “Beyond the Battlefield” while still not neglecting its impact from the moment war found its way there to today.

Wonderful museum. Very informative and the staff are very helpful and engaging. You have to experience the "Caught in the crossfire" exhibit. Really brings it home to you what every day people went through when caught in the middle of the conflict ..very unnerving..We were very impressed and donated some family items related to Adam's county history. We will most definitely be back.
