Our family really enjoyed our introduction to Ketchikan, the Tongass forest and Bigfoot! Lexis was our guide and she shared knowledge of the local history and the use of local plants. We were taken to a very beautiful bit of Tongass forest and were able to eat wild blueberries and be introduced to the medicinal and nutritional uses of plants that were growing right there. We learned a lot about local people's stories of Bigfoot. It was fun to drive around in the ATVs. It was beautiful ❤️, fun, educational and super peaceful. Bigfoot even stopped by to meet us! ☺️.

Do you believe in Big Foot? Me neither. Did I have a good time eating huckleberries and looking for banana slugs? You bet. My kiddo and I enjoyed this easy hike through the beautiful Alaskan rainforest. The tour had something for everyone, from the Big Foot Fanatic to the skeptic who got dragged along. I won’t give you any spoilers except to say I only went on the tour to do something in nature and cuz my kiddo loves Big Foot and we both had a good time. Lexi and Rob were excellent guides, offering local anecdotes about Big Foot and life in Ketchikan. Lexi was especially knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the forest and we enjoyed all her personal mentions of Indigenous life. There was a kid on our tour who’d read and seen everything Big Foot and Rob was familiar with it all so that was impressive. But also if you think Big Foot is BS, you’ll still have fun cuz the forest is gorgeous, the hike is on a well maintained trail, and everything is kind of offered as an open-ended mystery with an air of fun. You aren’t walking for two solid hours, either, so if you want something easyish, this is the tour for you. Part of this hike included two rest stops under rain cover to sit and hear stories of Big Foot. Hot coffee and cookies were was offered at one of these stops.

Highly recommend this tour in Ketchikan!

This was a perfect adventure for our family of 3. Our 6 year old loved this. We booked this adventure through our cruise line, and were picked up at the pier by the owner, Marcus, and the wildlife consultant, Rob. In our tour group, there were a total of 8 adventurers, 3 children and 5 adults.
From the pier, Marcus and Rob drove us through Ketchikan for a short, informative tour of the town before heading out to the Tongass Forest and the ATV staging area.
Driving the ATV down the trail was a lot of fun, and we were lucky to see some wildlife! We ended up at the hiking trail where we started the guided group hike that took us through the forest. There were two areas where we stopped to listen to recorded stories told by people who had personal encounters with Big Foot. Some snacks and beverages were provided during one of the stops. Along the hiking trail, there were placards describing some of the scenery, plant, and animal life throughout the trail so it was very educational. Lots of great spots along the hike to take family pictures.
We ended the hike at our ATVs, took a picture with a special guest, and drove the ATVs back to the van for our return to the ship.
This was a very fun adventure. Easy hike, not very physically demanding, but you will walk up and down some hills on some parts, but there are handrails to assist in keeping balance. The hiking trail was well kept and maintained. We all felt very safe.

Great little tour of the town, then we headed into the woods on side by sides. We stopped at a well prepared trail, it was an easy hike. Lexis was a great tour guide. She knew the area and customs well. She even recommended lunch at our next cruise spot. Highly recommended.

I recently went on the Bigfoot Adventure ATV drive and hike in Ketchikan. While the guides were friendly and eager to share their knowledge, there were some areas that could be improved to enhance the experience.

First, the van ride to and from the destination felt a bit dry, and the length of the drive didn’t quite match the depth of the actual adventure. It would have been great to hear more engaging stories or facts about Bigfoot or the local history during the drive to set the tone.

The "hike" was more of a brief walk on a path created by the owner (rocks, wood, and more), which felt a bit underwhelming. Similarly, the ATV ride was very short—just a quick minute or two down a muddy road. Extending this part of the tour could make it feel more adventurous and fun.

We also asked when the most recent Bigfoot sighting was, and were told “I don’t know.” Being more knowledgeable about Bigfoot lore, especially when running a Bigfoot-themed tour, would definitely improve the experience. It would be great to have current stories or sightings to share to make the adventure feel more connected to the mystery.

The Bigfoot stories we heard were played through a podcast, but instead of spending 20+ minutes listening to stories from decades ago, it would have been more engaging to hear current or local Bigfoot experiences directly from the guide.

At one point, we sat under a tarp drinking hot chocolate, coffee, and water while listening to these podcasts. However, most of the tour focused on discussing plant life, mushrooms, and animals like bears and deer. While that information was interesting, I was hoping for more focus on Bigfoot. It would really enhance the experience to have more Bigfoot-related content shared directly from the guide, rather than relying on pre-recorded podcasts.

Overall, the guides were kind, but I left feeling like the tour didn’t quite live up to its title or cost. With some tweaks—particularly in extending the ATV ride, focusing more on Bigfoot sightings, and incorporating local experiences—it could offer a more exciting and memorable adventure.
