Words cannot express how thankful my husband and I are to have found Alaska Destination Weddings with Erin Velander for the best day of our lives. Not only was Erin professional, but she really went above and beyond to make our day perfect. My husband and I are from Chicago, Illinois. Being out-of-state was a little intimidating, but Erin made our experience flawless. Erin provided information, vendors, and everything we needed to know in order to have our wedding in Alaska, along with planning everything accordingly. When the day of the wedding came, Erin was even cooler in person! She has a very down-to-earth personality and made our day stress free. She really ensured that we were able to enjoy the beauty of Alaska and feel special on our wedding day. I only have positive things to say about Alaska Destination Weddings! 10/10 experience working with Alaska destination wedding for our September 2023 elopement! Erin runs a very streamlined process with forms that cut out a lot of back and forth. Anyone eloping needs to be ok handing the reins over to someone who will get you an awesome photographer, a delicious cake, and knows how to get you to an epic spot to get married. Realistically this is all a bit of a surprise until the day of - so you need to be ok with this and put your faith into her and her expertise. And we were delighted with the results!! We had a fantastic, stress-free experience and got to throughly enjoy every minute while Erin was running the show. It’s also worth noting that an elopement is not just the two of you so it’s a huge bonus that Erin and her vendors have the right poise and cool personalities that make them great to spend your big day with. Thank you to Alaska Destination Weddings for making it such a wonderful experience!

It's hard to put into words how much Alaska Destination Weddings has done for us this past year. It brings me to tears thinking about it. My husband and I traveled to Alaska from Michigan, as first timers, to elope and Erin was just so personable and kind from the very first email. Not only did she answer every needy email I sent her in a timely fashion, she was so helpful for recommendations for our travels while we were there. We started planning our elopement a year prior to our wedding date and not once did I ever feel like something wasn't going to get done. Quite the opposite, actually. Alaska Destination Weddings made our planning process an absolute BREEZE. Erin took care of my bouquet and his boutonniere (which were absolutely freaking fabulous), figuring out the location, the documentation ( PRAISE THE LORD), the cake, communicating with our photographers, finding an officiant..etc. She did all the things. And she did an incredible job. On the day of our wedding, she arrived on time with our flowers, cake, and a couple gifts along with a nice card. Erin, in real life, is just as warm and personable as behind a screen and it was a joy to meet her. I had no doubt that things were going to run smoothly because of her. Erin helped me get ready, hugged me, cried with me, and was our cheerleader throughout the day. I couldn't recommend Alaska Destination Weddings enough because they truly gave me the most beautiful and intimate day of my life.

We traveled from Minnesota to Alaska in early June for our elopement. From our initial email to Erin to the last hug she gave us we knew that finding Alaska Destination Weddings and eloping was the smartest decision we had made! Erin worked with this Type A gal on every detail of our day and it was nothing short of a dream. My husband Corey and I smiled and laughed all day; we both commented on that when we saw our photos. We eloped in Alaska in March 2019. We had a trip planned to Anchorage to visit family, and 10 days prior to our departure, we decided to get married while we were there (what the heck, it is more fun than planning a wedding, right). We found Erin on line -- and she responded to our initial email the same day. From that moment forward, she was fabulous! She planned the entire helicopter adventure in less than a week - every detail was amazing. She kept in close contact through the day of the ceremony and even followed up with us afterward while we were still enjoying our Alaska trip to ensure that we were happy with how everything about the day had turned out. I was particularly thrilled that she was able to arrange for a hair/makeup artist to come to my new brother-in-law's house (where we were staying) the morning of the wedding (along with having the flowers and cake delivered so we didn't need to make any extra stops on the way to the air field). Erin made getting married away from home so easy! We were both thrilled with our decision to get married on a glacier -- our photos were gorgeous! And we couldn't have pulled it off without Erin's experienced and professional help!

Erin was a total wedding rockstar. She helped us plan our wedding from afar and made the entire process easy and seamless. We really owe her for making sure our wedding was incredibly beautiful and simultaneously low stress. She coordinated everything, helping us select the perfect location, find an amazing photographer and wonderful stylist, complete all the necessary paperwork, select the language/format for our ceremony, and find a fantastic officiant. She also made all the arrangements for our stunning floral arrangements (and assisted with finding photo inspiration), and also secured a delicious cake for us to celebrate with. Erin really helped make our big day special, and we are incredibly thankful!
