A fantastic trip to the Mulchatna river camp with my wife, brother, nephew and friends in 2021. Fishing is second to none, even for the novice angler. The Sockeye and King Salmon run was incredible. It seemed like every turn in the river was a sea of Red sockeye salmon. John Carlin’s staff was incredible. The hosts and cooks took care of all our needs. One of the highlights was the fishing guides providing a wonderful daily shore lunch. Clean boats, courteous staff, and incredible scenery.
Also many many different fish species to target.
Looking forward to seeing John and his staff in 2022.

Wow! Such an amazing experience with this team. Totally worth it. A bucket list item. Did not realize how many (!!) species of salmon we would be able to fish! An epic salmon fishery! Not only did we have a chance at some of the best fly fishing on the Mulchatna River, but the service was great. These guys will be friends for life! We have made them one of US! Xx Alaskan Trophy Fishing Safaris ROCKS! Ps We had a newbie who is now a convert! Thanks for teaching him so much guys!

If you are looking for an opportunity for excellent salmon fishing in a wilderness location, this is the place. The Carlin family and their staff provide an excellent experience for anglers of all experience levels.I have just returned from my 4th trip with these fine folks, and hope that God will graciously allow me to return again in future years.The camp is on the Mulchatna river and also accesses the Koktuli river.Two anglers per guide each day with shore lunch of fresh fish,a real treat! No combat fishing here- the only anglers you see are the other people in camp. (16 this trip).

Melissa and John, thanks for another great time on the Mulchatna. Been up there so many times but it never gets old. I had a great time and my son Kyle had one of the best weeks of his life at a time when he needed a little boost. The day on the Koktuli with John was unforgettable and it was so great of John to make time for that. You have a very special place with special people and we are blessed to be a part of it all. Appreciate all you do. See you in ‘23. Take care!
