My husband and I had a 2-year engagement and we both thought that was PLENTY of time to plan our wedding on our own. We were wrong. After attempting to juggle all the work of researching venues, communicating with vendors, scheduling meetings, dress shopping, etc., we were burnt out and overwhelmed. We even contemplated eloping. Finally, we made the decision to hire a wedding planner and we NEVER looked back.
We did a ton of research on Bay Area event planners but with the recommendation of our venue, Casa Real, and our initial meeting with Amazae, we knew they were the one. The services they offered were EXACTLY what we were looking for: Event Design (to put our vision together) and Logistics/Coordination (to manage our vendors and coordinate on our wedding day). Most importantly, their team were total pros. They knew our venue inside and out, and had long-standing relationships with most of our vendors. We left our first meeting feeling SO relieved and also excited for what was to come.
We worked with Crystal on Event Design and were so impressed with what she came up with! I shared my Pinterest board of all my wedding inspo and she drafted a booklet of what our ceremony and reception would look like. She gave options for things to sign off on, telling us how much they would cost us, and her recommendations. It was so good to have someone do this research and all we had to do was make the decisions! The execution on the day of the wedding was FLAWLESS. It was 100x better than anything we or Pinterest could have come up with! We held back tears during the first look of our reception because we couldn’t believe how beautiful it turned out. It felt so romantic and elegant - everything we could have possibly dreamed of. Crystal is extremely talented and has an excellent eye for design. She is SO GOOD at what she does (words my husband and I said after every meeting!) and we couldn’t be happier with how she brought our vision to life!
For Logistics & Coordination, we worked with Caitlin and Amy. Prior to our wedding, Caitlin kept us on top of our deadlines and managed all of our vendors. This was a HUGE help because we no longer had to communicate with multiple vendors and remember payment dates - they took care of all of it! They were incredibly helpful during our final meetings with our venue and our rehearsal. On the day of the wedding, we had Caitlin, Amy, and Lisa as part of our day-of coordination team. Amy was with the bridal party and I for the entire day, and she had such a calming presence about her! Not once did I feel stressed or nervous. Her, Caitlin, and Lisa managed everything behind the scenes but kept it so calm, cool, and collected. They checked on us throughout our reception and made sure everything was flowing smoothly. At the end of the night, they handled packing everything up and let us enjoy celebrating with our family and friends. Without a doubt, they were the best team to have on our wedding day!
If you are questioning whether or not you need a wedding planner, my answer is YES and to go with Amazae! It truly felt like a wedding gift that we gave ourselves. We were able to enjoy the months leading up to our wedding and our actual wedding day because we were well taken care of. Would 10/10 recommend and use them again for any future events!

I know this is a long read, but worth it!
This review has been a long time coming, and in the spirit of being grateful, I want to start with how grateful I am for the Amazae team.
I honestly don't even know where to begin as so many positive experiences run through my mind when I look back at my experience with Crystal, Caitlin, & the team at Amazae.
When my fiance and I got engaged, I knew that I needed the help of a talented team to help us execute our wedding weekend (We hired them for 3 events). We live in Sacramento and our wedding was in the bay area. On top of that, we had about 400 guests and I knew that having help was a necessity! My fiance let me take most of the reigns on the planning which I was very appreciative of (he had his 2 cents in the music and food, so everyone was happy). When I met with Amazae, there was an instant connection. And sure, part of that has to do with the chemistry of personalities, but more so, I felt heard, I was being asked the right questions, I saw that they understood my vision, and I could see that they were very able to execute. For someone like myself, who likes to have control over everything, feeling this comfortable to allow them to take the lead was a big deal. I also knew that in order for everything to be efficient, I had to be ok with them handling all the coordination, and I felt 100% secure with their team taking the planning into their own hands (though I'm sure I had a few "moments" of eagerness, they never made me feel like I was stepping on any toes).
Everything during the planning process was such a breeze on my end. I think we met a total of 4 times from start to end with few emails in between. In that time, we were able to review decor (minute details included), food, timeline, budget, deal breakers, etc. They handled all of the correspondence with every vendor and I hardly had to, if even at all, need to have any interaction. They coordinated EVERYTHING! I honestly feel as though having the Amazae as my team was the best investment I made for that whole weekend, such a blessing!
When it came to the wedding weekend. I was blown away with how smoothly everything went. If there was an issue, I never even knew about it. I wasn't stressed at all, which if you know me, you know how anxious I can get in these types of situations, so that was huge, and it's a testament to how comfortable I felt with their team. I was able to fully take in the day and that was very important to the whole experience (they even coordinated locations with my hair & make up team in the AM-- They're extra!). When I say they got my vision, that was the biggest understatement. The decor was UNBELIEVABLE it was so gorgeous. They even added some extra touches to detail that just amplified the space that much more. I literally cried when I walked into the ceremony and reception halls and couldn't believe how beautiful everything was. They literally made my wedding dreams come true, and the best part, was that they made it so easy, and so streamlined. Pure perfection. These images don't do justice to the space, however, everything about my experience with Crystal, Caitlin, and the rest of the team was effortless, breathtaking, and memorable. I am forever grateful and can honestly say I have found new friends with this process. Thank you Amazae!

We recently had the pleasure of working with Crystal as our wedding planner, and we cannot recommend her enough! From our very first meeting, we knew that we were in good hands. She listened carefully to our vision for our wedding day, and asked so many thoughtful questions to get to know us as a couple.
Throughout the planning process, Crystal and her assistant Kaila were always available to answer our questions and to offer their invaluable guidance when choosing our vendors and making many other decisions. They kept us on track with deadlines and helped us stay within my budget without sacrificing any of the details that were important to us. Crystal’s attention to detail and logistics was exceptional, and she thought of things that we never would have considered on our own. We worked with Amazae from the moment we knew we wanted to get married (before we got engaged, technically. Ha). Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn’t be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you’re on the fence, go with Amazae.
My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else’s expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time.
Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don’t meet your requirements.
Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this.
This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning.
The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you’re down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

If you're looking for the best wedding/event planning team in the business, Amazae is your team!!! From the moment Crystal and I had our first meeting, I knew that we had the very best, and I am so thankful for everything that Crystal, Caitlin and the whole Amazae team did to make our day absolutely perfect!
Since the wedding, our guests have truly been telling us that our wedding is now "the bar for all future weddings," and that's truly down to Amazae! We were planning from across the country and Amazae made the whole process smooth and painless. During the whole process, we never had to stress since we knew we were in the best hands! Every detail was perfection and I'm so impressed at how impeccably Crystal and her team turned my vision into reality! Wow! We could not be happier with the experiences that we had with Amazae in planning our wedding. The number one question that we got on our wedding day was, "How do you feel? Are you stressed?" We proudly answered "We feel great!" every single time. This is due entirely to the amazing Amazae team. They had every single thing covered from start to finish.
From our first meeting, Amazae made us feel at ease and that all of our wedding desires were going to be achieved. To be honest, we were quite a picky pair, always wanting to see additional ideas, quotes, images, etc... Not once did Amazae falter in their dedication to us .They provided us with countless options, advice, and did all of these things with a cheery disposition.
Planning a wedding can be quite intimidating. There are timelines and checklists to be aware of. Amazae brilliantly kept us on schedule! We were given countless reminders and opportunities to make decisions ahead of time so we never felt like we were doing anything last minute. It was such a relief to be on track and to be able to monitor our progress through updated checklists that Amazae would send. During our planning, we had a few close friends also getting married at the same time. We would use each other as a sounding board in terms of what we had done and what was left to be done. After all of these conversations, we felt relieved at where we were at with Amazae. We would either be on par or way ahead of the planning game with our peers. Being prepared alleviated any potential stress that could have been lingering around.
Now to the wedding day. This is where Amazae truly shined (not that they didn't shine leading up to the event... this is just where they kicked butt)! Given our venue and set up, Amazae was around in the days leading up to our big day. They worked around the clock meeting with vendors, checking in with the florist, coordinate with the church, etc... All of the minute details that we had worked on over the past year were magically before us. We were absolutely blown away at how GORGEOUS everything was. It is one thing to see your choices online or through designs but to see the real thing... it was truly breathtaking. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives! We did not have to worry about a single thing. We were kept on schedule, gently reminded about when to move things along, and had an overall sense of ease and peace throughout the day. While there are many examples of Amazae's prowess, this one story shows how truly blessed we were to have them by our sides. Being a nervous bride, I wanted to make sure that I had deodorant handy whenever I needed it throughout the big day...just in case :). I gave this to a team member the day before the wedding. This team member had it for me during the entire wedding day and once her night was done, she passed it along to another team member and made sure to let me know that I was still covered! While on the dance floor, close to midnight, I was able to call upon Amazae! Such a small but important example of the attentiveness that Amazae showed us throughout the entire process.
We could go on and on about how Amazae was there for us in planning our wedding! But, to sum things up, deciding to work with Amazae was the best decision that we made. Not only are they a rockstar professional team, but they ensured that what we wanted for our special day came to fruition. No matter how far fetched or unique an idea seemed, Amazae was there to make it happen. We feel blessed and grateful that we made the decision to work with Amazae. They are amazing!
