This is a really nice place to visit. There’s several trails to walk on; all of them are very easy with a few hills. There is poison ivy, so you will want to stay away from it. There’s a small lake with some fishing and ducks. There’s a small shop to purchase seeds, flowers, and accessories, and there are restrooms on the lower level.

There isn’t any place to buy food or water, so you might bring what you need.

Such a cute shop! We joined the society and bought some local seeds. Employees very friendly. Lots of things for kids. Loads of books for purchase. Great place to find unique gifts! From the “kids shop” area you can watch tons of birds! So glad we stopped in! If you join you get 10% off all purchases!

Both easy and more moderate walks available on shaded paths. There is a very nice and well stocked store that specializes in all kinds of bird related and outdoor items. The manager and clerk are very friendly and knowledgeable

We visited for their native plant sale and it didn't disappoint. The shrubs and trees are excellent and they have some unusual native perennials.
Pricing on the plants is quite high, $6 and up for small pots and seedlings (all the way to $40 for seedlings 🌱 of hard to propagate plants).
I got there around 1pm and several things I wanted were sold out. It was busy despite the heavy rain.

The gift shop is lovely with a great variety of products, from books to bird feeders and gift items like puzzles and note cards.
I managed to put a good dent on the debit card for Mother's Day out 😃 yay me.

Had the weather been nicer, we would have loved to walk around the nature reserve, but PA weather didn't cooperate.

Went on a warm and muggy day in June to find nearly empty trails. It's a small park so you won't get too lost in the woods but make sure to bring water with you anyway. We ran into a wild turkey and it's chicks. They were in the trail for a bit and then into the bushes they went. There is a nice overlook for bird watching near the entrance. Mostly a quiet place with native plants.
