Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly young lady. Shared any and all information that would be helpful during my stay. I encountered a few staff members during my stay, each time they spoke to me. This makes you feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offers many choices, from hot biscuit sandwich to egg white omelet, fruit and yogurt to name a few items available. Check in and out was easy. Thank you for a pleasant stay, I would stay here again when and if in this area.

I stayed at Avid Hotel, and it was an OK experience. The hotel is clean and well maintained, but it feels more suited for business travelers rather than for leisure or romantic getaways. It’s very close to the Huntsville Airport about 5 mins and Redstone Arsenal about 10 mins.

While the staff was friendly and the amenities functional, the atmosphere lacked charm. It’s a decent choice for work trips, but not the best for a vacation.

My first time staying at an Avid Hotel, part of the Holiday Inn chain. This is the budget end of the International Hotel Group. The facility is clean and simply built--more of an industrial look than most members of the IHG group. But very nice and an economical option. The room was clean, spacious with only shower, no tub, and no closet but plenty of hooks along wall for hangers. Bathroom was very clean and well lighted. My only issue was extremely cold weather meant running the heat and the thermostats were confusing with one on the unit and another on the wall across the room but they didn't appear connected. Breakfast was a bit different with all items packaged to go. You could eat in the dining area or take it back to the room or away as you left. Sausage/bacon/ham biscuit depending on the day. It would have been nice to have the option of any one of the three rather than just one choice each day. Egg omelet each day plus apples, bananas, oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, juice, etc. daily. Coffee and hot water for tea was available 24/7 in the lobby but no coffee maker in the room. Very easy access to I-659 and a back street to Toyota Field in 5 minutes. Front desk staff very friendly, courteous.

I can’t tell enough good things about this hotel. The rooms were clean, you can smell the cleanliness when you walk in the door. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. We had TV issues in the beginning and they were willing to move us if needed and then the shower head in the bathroom fell and water went everywhere, we called them and they came up and helped clean and fixed it right away. The snacks and breakfast was a nice touch, location was great! All around a wonderful stay.

I stayed at the Avid hotel for two nights.. oh my goodness, the room was so nice!! The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were nice.. I usually find pillows to be too big but these pillows actually had “soft” and “ firm “ labels on the pillow covers.. the walk-in shower was great, great lighting in the bathroom.. I will definitely stay here again, highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed this place! I would have loved to stay again until I started getting the run around about my incidental fee!!! I was told before check in that upon checkout it would be released, then after check out I was told 3 days, then I called after 3 days and was told 7 business days and now it has been 2 weeks and still no money!! My bank doesn’t hold any money that is released, I called my bank and they stated that the hotel still has it pending!!!! I need you all to release my money NOW!!! With how high everything is today, I don’t have the luxury of shelling out money freely as a single mom!! Will not be staying at this hotel again! Going to stick with Hilton!!

The good parts of our hotel stay was an extremely friendly staff. The hotel was in a convenient location. There is a Chick-fil-A right across the street. The Grab-n-go breakfast had a lot of choices. The coffee was very good. We especially liked that they was always complimentary coffee in the lobby at all hours |One thing that did affect our stay was the noise. Our door rattled all night. We're not sure why but it kept us awake. There was a lot of noise coming from the floor above us that sounded like kids running and jumping off the bed . I called the front desk and the staff took care of it but the noise started back up a few hours later. Besides the noise, the hotel is nice and convenient.

Pretty decent little hotel in the IHG chain with fast elevators and nice staff. I will say the shower pan (had a handicap access room) was a bit worn out with some cracking along the edging and visible attempts to repair. The area is right next to a railway so on occasion you can hear noise from that along with loud cars (obviously not something the hotel can affect). Morning breakfast was basic; some muffins, bagels, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee/OJ. Not sure if it was because of the room type but the bathroom and room were spacious and one of my biggest complaints with other hotels, the key cards responded very fast when accessing the entrance, gym door, and room. Very happy with not waiting for the key to respond like other hotels I’ve stayed in. All in all it’s in a decent area with development happening…easy access to the highway with the airport only a few minutes away and a gas station with an attached coffee shop.
