It was a great place to stay with kids. The room was very large with separate bedroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. The full kitchen was conveniently laid out with nice eating areas. The pool was warm and clean. Breakfast was more than adequate with hot and cold items available at no charge. Parking was free in the garage across the street. There was a nice looking restaurant attached to the hotel. We didn’t eat there but it was busy and looked good. Laundry, gym, arcade and gourmet coffee machine in the lobby were nice extras. Really no complaints at all. Housekeeping was only once a week but they still brought us fresh towels when requested.

We came to this place for a weekend getaway and I can’t believe how impressed I am with this location! From the room to the pool, arcade & breakfast! Also they have a martini bar/lounge on site, which they have great food and drinks and it’s very convenient. The staff was welcoming and helped us with any questions we’ve had about the area. All and all the stay was awesome. We will definitely be back again when we’re in town!

The very front unloading area is kind of small. The lobby area was very clean and organized. When using the elevator you have to have a guest room key to be able to access any of the floors. We had the king size bedroom and the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The hallways and elevator were clean also. When parking in the parking ramp make sure you have the motel validate it so you don’t have to pay for parking.

I booked two nights in a queen suite with a separate bedroom with help from the front desk. They sent me a confirmation email. On that date, we were arriving late so I called to advise the front desk it would be 11:30pm. Upon arrival, my husband and I checked in with the front desk, the guy had a ipad, scrolled down to the bottom, and asked me to sign the rate. I said but there is no rate here - (it was at the top of the page he scrolled by so i would not see it). So he showed me a rate of $372.94. I said that is not correct. My app and email both have a confirmation rate of $186.47. He said that is not correct and not what we are charging for this weekend. I advised I have a confirmation number? But it did not matter. So here we are at midnight - no hotel rooms left in town due to tournaments. They knew exactly what they were doing. We had no choice but to stay - upon getting to the room - we were given a STUDIO - no separate bedroom. No desk, no chair. My husband and i had to work that next morning on our laptops from the bed. The bathroom was dirty complete with a spider i nearly stepped on. We were overcharged for a smaller room and management - Kari Smith refused to correspond with me. I travel a great deal for work without complaint - I have never experienced such lack of customer care. She never bothered to return a call or email to discuss how this could have happened or even discuss. The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the restaurant- the staff was super friendly, food was great!

Well I must say that I wasn’t thrilled coming to this hotel at first. Here on a business trip with Utility Partners of America; this has been a Journey.
Yet, I am impressed with the quality of how clean the rooms were and my Friday house cleaning was of top quality. A single house Keeper Ms. Zuri set the bar. I’ve been to the Berkeley Orlando, Cesar’s Palace Nevada, The Westin on the Savannah Harbor, yet no cleaning service out of the 5 stars were as thorough as this hotel.
For the room to be as clean within the hour, and be reset back to normal with no room left untidy; this was very remarkable of an experience so far. I’m a person who’s ‘Big on Clean,’ this made me feel more like recommending this place to all of my friends. Knowing that the rooms are being cleaned by such thorough and thoughtful staff like Ms. Zuri! I am now grateful.
Even though, the manager Kerri choice was to kick me out, under the pretense I would lose my job. Management very dishonest, so I recommend not talking to them, the staff on the lower level are very respectful, people like Mrs. Marry communicates well and relay a message properly. I still recommend this hotel to people. Just not recommended for long stays.

I must say that the housekeeping staff go above and beyond to keep the rooms clean. I am big on clean, and unexpectedly, received a room cleaning service from a Ms Yuri. When I say she clean a rest the room within a hour. I went to the store and came back the floors were mopped, the restroom reset, the kitchen clean, the living room cleaned, and especially the beds were made. It actually impressed me to the point that I promised I would leave such a great review. ||I know Ms. Yuri was unaware of how much a clean room meant to me. But I must admit, cleanliness is of high importance and high quality customer service. I can compare to 5star hotels where they lack in cleaning the compensate for in other things, but cleanliness should be held at a higher standard like The Best Western Plus.||The beds are Very Comfortable with nice firm pillows. Best sleep in a while. And the Bar Ari’z has made this stay here more relaxing and comfortable. So convenient to have a night cap or meal not far from the bed -in my opinion!

My family and I stayed here while we were in town for the football game at UNI. I had never been to Waterloo, most hotels in Cedar Falls were booked. I am not usually picky, but we did have our 2 children with us. We got the 2 queen bed suite. Spacious, clean, on the 8th floor, hotel itself was good. The problem was the surrounding neighborhood! I did not feel safe walking to our car alone. There were homeless people sleeping in the skywalk that goes from the parking garage to the hotel. The parking garage door to the staircase was shattered and there was glass everywhere. I heard yelling and sirens all night. The hotel was nice but I will not be staying here again, I did not feel that it was a safe place for my family. Basal Pizzeria down the street was delicious, it was the highlight of our stay in Waterloo, but that’s about it.

The room was good but had to park in the parking garage across the street and we were having an ice storm. The street was closed off for construction and so was the sky walk. So when my husband was trying to get to the hotel after parking he fell because it was so icy and when he mentioned it to the employee about them needing to salt because he had just fallen they told him that it was the city's responsibility to take care of the street but being it was closed for construction they didn't even touch the street and the employee didn't seem to care that he had fallen. We just felt that the hotel should have salted a path to the garage.
