The Discovery Center was a lot of fun. We got to explore their displays, learn lots, and visit their gift shop. Their staff was super informative and friendly. They also have a trail right outside that is shirt and sweet and a kids playground area. We had fun!

The inside part is mostly taxidermy stuff but still pretty cool. The outdoor nature loop is what we took and it was short and fun. The play area was cool for our almost 5 year old but older kids may struggle to be entertained. The loop took about an hour at a 5 year olds pace.

This is a sweet free activity to do with kiddos in big bear. We got to learn about different local animals , a cute little Gift shop and a lot of fun outdoor (dog friendly) mini trails and activities like logs and a pan music park area.

Blue skies boulders and California 18. So yeah we didn't probably do your typical Big Bear visit, like most people, we simply enjoyed the lake and the boulders. I really enjoy climbing up the boulders. It's kind of nice... Have fun driving 18. It's a pretty twisty and steep road!

Check out John's Marina on the North shore rent a canoe and paddle over there for while, it's really nice... You can also see the famous eagle nest that's on Big Bear eagle cam..

Kids had an absolute blast!! One of the volunteers, Michael, was so great with my oldest and taught him all about the local wildlife. My sons loved seeing all of the animal displays, touching different furs and learning all about the different kinds of teeth animals have from Michael! The nature discovery zone outside was also a hit, the kids spent over an hour climbing and building outside. They were so ready for lunch and a nap after this adventure!

Went there for the first time to see TLR (The Long Run) Eagles tribute band with SRV (Stevie Ray Vaughn Visited). Great show. Nice Venue. I was in the center of the first row. Nice except when everyone gets up and dances right in front of you. A bit dusty but everyone was having fun.

Took the hour guided discovery tour, well worth it. The docent explains how the environment at Big Bear is significantly different and unique, providing a habitat for a vast variety of trees... Like none other.
Before the tour .. I saw trees
After the tour... I saw a world of trees.

Just amazing 5 stars great for all ages especially for the children a lot of activities for the little ones.
Perfect hiking trails they do sell drinks and wheel chair friendly with bathrooms.
