I bought my first Old Towne peddle drive PDL 120 kayak from the guys down at Black Hall Outfitters. I Was pleased with my purchase, and also the knowledge and experience of the staff in helping me to decide what I needed .
The manager and owner made sure my new Kayak was delivered in a timely manner, and inspected at arrival to their store.
When you are looking for a great team of people that know watersports and don't want to suffer the "Big Box retailer" experience, check them out, they're happy to help .

First time paddleboarder long time surfer, rented an SUP from Blackhall Outfitters. Nick and Paul were amazing at customer service and super accommodating of lateness. The short lesson/orientation was useful and not at all condescending (for reference I'm an overweight woman i.e., a group easily/often condescended to in the sports world). The whole rental process was super fast and smooth. It doesn't hurt that the location near the Westbrook Stuart McKinney Wildlife preserve is amazingly beautiful with shorebirds everywhere! Definitely recommmend renting from here!

I had an outstanding experience at Black Hall Outfitters! Exceptional customer service - Each and every employee shared their knowledge and expertise. Paul, Matt, Mike, Audra, & Gene were excellent and super helpful in the purchase of a my new fishing kayak. Mike walked me through all the features and assisted with loading and assembling it for a very smooth purchase. On top of that their free winter seminar series provides a great way to learn new skills and techniques taught by various fishing experts. Highly recommend this store and the knowledgeable and helpful team!

We had the most excellent kayak trip up the river and back. Be sure to check out the tides to see which way the tide will be flowing on your trip - it might make a big difference. Excellent staff and service.

The Westbrook location is top notch with upper end equipment and supplies. The owner, his family and employees are very knowledgeable and are always receptive to any questions about fishing local waters. Gene also invites local experts to conduct seminars during the winter months, which are very informative, at no charge. You are never pressured to purchase anything talked about during those seminars, but if you are interested BHO probably has it.
