As a professional wedding photographer, I've worked with hundreds of wedding coordinators, but this is the first time I've felt compelled to leave a 5-star review. Rachel, the owner of Bliss Events, is truly exceptional. I had the pleasure of working with her last Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa for a beautiful small wedding with a Korean couple.

Despite the ceremony being in Korean, which I didn't fully understand, Rachel orchestrated everything seamlessly and beautifully. She was incredibly thoughtful, ensuring the couple had ample opportunities for stunning wedding photos without missing any part of their reunion, cocktail hour, or reception.

Initially, the couple booked me for just 4 hours, thinking it would suffice. Rachel, however, reviewed their timeline and advised them that they needed 6 hours of coverage. She then reached out to me to adjust the booking. This level of foresight and communication is rare and invaluable.

Rachel's organization and communication skills are outstanding. She always had people ready for group shots and ensured the couple could step away briefly for photos without missing out on their special moments. She even managed the vendor meals perfectly, pulling us aside to eat quickly and get back to work, unlike other coordinators who often make us wait until the guests are served, causing us to miss important moments.

Working with Rachel was a relief. Her ability to balance the needs of the couple, guests, and vendors is unparalleled. I highly recommend Rachel and Bliss Events for any wedding or event coordination.

Wow, Rachel is the best wedding coordinator out there! She is so organized, is very responsive to questions, and provides her opinion in a calm, kind, careful way. When she took over our wedding planning during the month of our big day, we immediately felt at ease, as she communicated with all of our vendors and guided us on what we still needed to get done. At the rehearsal and wedding, she was so great at leading our families and wedding party, especially our young flower girls and ring bearer who didn't know exactly what to do. Rachel worked tirelessly on our wedding day to make sure everything was running smoothly and all items were where they needed to be. It took a huge weight off of us! I very highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding. Thank you so much for all your help, Rachel!

We initially reached out to Bliss Events because they were a preferred / recommended vendor of our venue. When we spoke with Rachel, it was clear that she is very knowledgeable with wedding planning / coordination and is also super passionate about supporting couples with navigating such a big event. Going in, we were especially nervous because this was the first true wedding in either of our families, so we felt a bit over our heads with everything that needed to be done, especially day of. Even in our initial phone call, she provided her perspective on the vendors we had already selected up until that point (and was familiar with almost all of them), as well as helpful tips + guidance on how to identify the others we were still in search of. We even ended up going with one of the vendors she recommended to us! In the end, we felt she was more than equipped and truly cared to help bring our wedding vision to life. This ended up being absolutely correct - Rachel was extremely communicative and responsive to all of our needs and questions (we had many, given our lack of familiarity with the wedding industry!) and overall was a joy to work with! She was organized, professional, and super helpful throughout the whole process, especially when we had to navigate some difficult situations and last minute changes. Day of, she and her team did their magic and truly allowed us to have a stress-free and amazing day full of love and happiness. We wholeheartedly would recommend Rachel and Bliss Events for any of your wedding planning / coordination needs!

I've been meaning to write this review since my daughter's August wedding! I can't say enough great things about Rachel from Bliss Events. We hired her to help with the last month and day-of details and she was so incredibly organized, professional, calm, friendly and helpful! She has a wonderful reputation in the business and every time we told a vendor that we were working with Rachel we heard "you are in GREAT hands! " And that was completely true! Every vendor that she recommended to us was amazing and all contributed to making our event exactly what we had hoped for. Rachel kept us on task and moving forward in the last stages of planning without adding any extra stress. On the day of she was so helpful, handling the little "emergencies" that arose with ease and we were able to focus solely on enjoying the wedding and our guests! I highly recommend hiring Rachel!

We got married on 06/17/22 and our guest are still raving about how seamless, fun and carefree our wedding was and it was all possible because we had Rachel as our coordinator. We are so glad we found her through our preferred vendor list at our wedding venue, San Diego Botanic Garden.

We had the pleasure of having Rachel as a month-of coordinator, along with assisting us with vendor contracts and hotel blocking. Even though we had her as a month-of coordinator she was responsive and helped us during the year leading up to the wedding if we had any questions. It was amazing working with Rachel she has a vast knowledge of the industry and we truly felt taken care of. She even helped us with other events during our wedding weekend. To top it off we live in Northern California which added another layer of difficulty but Rachel was able to make everything work.

On the day of the wedding everything went flawlessly and according to the schedule Rachel created. Not only was Rachel handling all the vendors but even helped me(Alina) calm my nerves before I walked down the aisle. At the end of the night everything was packed up and handled, and we were able to leave our wedding in pure newlywed bliss!

Rachel has been absolutely phenomenal to work with in every way. When we first got engaged we thought we were going to plan our wedding ourselves. We ended up going with the tying it all together package. Looking back for the type of wedding we wanted, we are so glad we had Rachel’s help as our seamless and perfect wedding day could not have occurred without her.

In the months before Rachel officially took over, she assisted in the communications with our venue’s representatives, provided us with invaluable vendor recommendations, attended our menu tasting to ensure all selections and questions were addressed and brought to our venue’s chef, and was able to answer any pressing questions we happened to have. All of this showed to us how easy to work with and how detail oriented Rachel was. More importantly, our interactions showed how much of an amazing person she is.

When our planned date for Rachel to take over operations began we got to see her in action. Rachel coordinated the logistical planning with our various vendors, helped us manage a minor contract dispute with another vendor, sent us detailed check lists of things we needed to have completed with updates, reminders if we were behind schedule on anything, itineraries for us and our families, timing and musical coordination for the events of the wedding, and was very communicative throughout the entire process for all parties who were to be involved in the wedding. All of this thoroughly put our minds at ease and helped reduce our stress since dealing with family and friends for a wedding is already stressful enough as it is.

The day of the wedding was no different from our excellent experience with Rachel we had thus far. She and her team were there to ensure everything was executed smoothly even when we deviated from the plan. On one occasion Rachel searched the grounds to bring us back to our guests when we had been taking extra pictures with our photographer during cocktail hour. She also made sure that I (the groom) did not miss my que in a song for the mother/son dance. We firmly believe that our wedding would not have gone as perfect as it did without the organization and hard work from Rachel. We have nothing but praise for all she did for us and would eagerly recommend her to anyone who is planning a wedding, whether they think they need a coordinator or not. If you’re planning an event, use Bliss Events!! They are the absolute best!!

From the first meeting, we were so impressed with Rachel’s organization, the kinds of questions she asked (which made us feel so seen!), and her kindness!

Rachel really heard what we wanted from our wedding (unorthodox as some of the ideas may have been haha) and did such an incredible job pairing us with vendors! All of the vendors were not only awesome to work with but did such a great job! It was a truly amazing day for us and her expertise and vision allowed us to have a wedding that truly surpassed our dreams!!

I will look back fondly on the planning process. The timeline of wedding planning—from getting the big vendors like catering, florals, photography, and rentals to the details like place settings and reminding us to start looking for parent gifts—worked so well! We cannot thank Rachel enough for all of the hard work that she put into our wedding organization, for reminding us about tasks when we got really busy at work, and for keeping us on track.

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! I would not change a single thing! From the very beginning of the day through to the very end, Rachel made us all feel so relaxed and like everything was taken care of. All I, as the bride, had to do was get ready and remember to eat and hydrate before. And during the actual wedding, I didn’t have to stress about a thing! I could just revel in the feeling of being married and enjoy time with my friends and family in an absolutely magical setting!

Everything was incredible!! I would not change a single thing!

I truly cannot overstate how important hiring Rachel & Bliss Events was to the success of our wedding planning & the wedding itself. We engaged Rachel with the “Tying it all together” package and added a planning meeting at the beginning as well. Rachel was available throughout the entire planning process to answer our questions and always had great insight to share. Once we got down to the wire, she was critical in finalizing conversations and details with our other vendors. At the rehearsal, she was critical in providing advice to our wedding party on timing, common mistakes etc. The day of the wedding, she ensured that everything went smoothly, reminded us of key moments, and was there for everything I needed. During the reception, Rachel asked if I wanted to change into my ceremony sneakers. I told her I didn’t think I could because I forgot to give her socks with the sneakers and she got me socks so I could dance my heart out!!!!!! It’s the little things that make all the difference.

Most critically, we assembled our core vendor team (Photo / Video, DJ, Officiant) based on Rachel’s referrals and recommendations and the quality of this group speaks louder than any words I could share. You always hear from people that “things will go wrong, you just roll with it”. The day & night of our wedding NOTHING that was plausibly in our control or the control of our vendors went wrong. Seriously, nothing. The night was BEYOND perfect and more than I ever dreamed of. This is entirely because of Rachel and the stellar team she put together. One of my favorite parts of the night was just watching the amazing time all of our friends and family were having and this is ALL a credit to Rachel and her team! Working with Rachel & Bliss Events is the best choice you can make wedding planning!
