We recently had the pleasure of working with Boka Catering Group for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, Liz Kort was an absolute gem. Her communication was incredibly fast and efficient, making the planning process smooth and stress-free.
Our wedding was a cocktail-style reception for 220 people, featuring "action stations" where chefs were stationed to finish and serve dishes. Liz and the team were more than willing to work with our preferences, going above and beyond to create a custom cannoli cart for dessert that was a huge hit with our guests. They also tailored one of the pasta dishes to meet specific dietary restrictions, which was greatly appreciated by everyone with special dietary needs.
Despite our initial concerns about budget, Liz worked with us to ensure we stayed within our means without compromising on quality. The service provided was top-notch, and it was clear that Boka Catering Group has extensive knowledge and experience in the industry. Their collaborative approach made the entire process enjoyable and seamless.
While the price point is on the higher side, the exceptional product and service we received were ultimately worthwhile. We highly recommend Boka Catering Group and Liz Kort for any event – they truly made our occasion memorable!

We used Boka as a caterer for our July 2022 wedding at The Chicago Illuminating Company. I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about our experience! The food was excellent, the service was phenomenal, and our coordinator (Kate) was top notch. So many compliments from guests regarding the quality and taste of the meal on the evening of the wedding! The Boka team even went out of their way on the night of the event to grab milk from a local grocery store for my 3 year old niece who was on the verge of a slight meltdown -- so very kind! A gesture we will never forget. I would very, very highly recommend Boka to anyone seeking catering services for an upcoming wedding or similar event.

Boka Catering provided the food and beverage for our wedding, but they really did so much more than that. We were apprehensive about booking a venue without an in-house caterer, but Shawn and the team at Boka easily squashed any doubts. They are organized, professional, and very thoughtful. They listened to all our comments and really care about the quality of the product and service they provide. Shawn was great, very easy to work with, and worked hard to make sure our vision was carried out and also offered his guidance when we weren't quite sure about something.

To no one's surprise, the food at our wedding was amazing and we received so many compliments. The Boka staff were kind, professional, and made every guest feel comfortable. With Boka, it was clear that the sky is the limit on what they can offer, they have hundreds of recipes and offered to make tweaks as we requested, but also ensured the menu was still cohesive. We were also so happy to learn that they take care of much more than food & beverage, including all the staffing, linens, dishware, bartending, and assist with items like timeline and seating. They also took allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously, and even made both regular and gluten-free versions of the dessert options to make sure everyone at our wedding could try some. We'd highly recommend them!

I booked Boka Catering for my wedding and it was amazing! My husband and I knew food was going to be a big portion of our wedding and we wouldn't have trusted any other catering team with the food. Liz was amazing to work with throughout the entire process and answered my millions of questions along the way. Very communicative and made our food vision come to life. The recommendations and attention to detail were much appreciated, and the hospitality showed through at every interaction, especially the tastings! When we had a few pieces of key feedback about our selections for our wedding tasting, they even offered a second tasting to make sure that we were happy with the menu.

The day of the wedding, Shawn and his team worked with our wedding planner to handle all of the logistics. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about the level of service and the quality of the food.

Shawn and the Boka team made our wedding an absolutely spectacular evening. There wasn't a single guest who left without raving about the food. And it didn't start when the dinner plates were set down, the compliments began flowing the second those canapés got to passin. I'm always elated to see newly minted steak tartare fans, and needless to say this event created many. I can't thank Shawn and the Boka team enough for making our wedding literally the best wedding I've ever been to.

WOW! My husband and I as soon as we got engaged were thrilled for many parts of the wedding, but picking a caterer was at the top of the list. Boka was one of our first date night restaurants and felt like a perfect fit for our special day.

From start to finish we were blown away. Liz, Eva and the rest of the BCG team are so kind, detail oriented and knowledgeable.

The tasting was the first step of the process and was one of the most memorable and fun parts of the planning process. We had a blast. Trying all the delicious options, picking our personalized cocktails and wine. They handled my many allergies as well as my entire family’s so well. Making sure everything was safe.

The day itself went perfectly. Everything was timed just right and the food was just as delicious as we remembered from our tasting. The service team were so attentive and helpful.

I can’t say thank you enough to Liz for her prompt communications and continuous help through the entire process! BCG is a class act, just as we expected!

We had very high hopes for Boka as our wedding caterer after a great initial consultation and a wonderful tasting experience, but ended up being somewhat disappointed. While the servers on the day were absolutely amazing, the overall execution was not what we expected from such a reputable vendor. They forgot to bring the glass champagne flutes we ordered so we had no champagne with our toast/speeches, and despite having a nearly three hour window to deliver the desserts for a river cruise we went on as part of our reception, they called shortly after we pulled away from the pier to say that they had somehow failed to deliver them in time. We were of course reimbursed for services not provided, but that didn't change the fact that two major parts of our wedding day simply didn't happen despite being in our contract and discussed at length long in advance.
