There’s nothing quite like boulder dash! An exhilarating ride that literally has you holding on for your life. Might be one of the roughest coasters I’ve ever been on but that didn’t deter me from riding three times because of how much fun it was. Lots of air time as you fly through the woods

Super unique terrain coaster that sprints through the woods at a thrilling velocity. A totally different experience from other "standard" coasters as you are close to the ground and trees so you have a greater sense of speed and a totally different thrill. Highly recommend making the trip to Lake Compounce, if only to experience this multi-award winning ride. One thing to note is that the seats are quite narrow.

Update: after riding both the very front and very back, choose the front for a more smooth and airtime-filled ride and the back for a vicious, aggressive experience that is more intense.

Rode in the back, middle, then front, all rows are quite rough but this ride is truly legendary! The lift hill up the mountain is incredible, and the relentless hills throughout the layout make this a wild ride from beginning to end! A father and his young daughter sitting a few rows up during my back row ride also commented on how much they liked the ride. This is absolutely a destination coaster for enthusiasts, I saw this first hand during my visit, as I spoke with quite a few in line and was also told how far people come to ride this from the op when I mentioned being from Ohio. All in all well worth the price of admission for a long time to come! Please continue to do some much needed upkeep on this ride as it would be terrible to lose such a great ride experience. Overall in my top 10 of rides to this point, and easily one of the best on Earth!

This was a horrifying roller coaster and I actually feared for my life! We were jostled around so much that I thought I might break something. I could not even look up to enjoy any part of this ride. Ive been on plenty of roller coasters at 6 Flags, Busch Gardens, etc, but never have I been so frightened that I could not wait for the ride to end. It shook so much that I thought the coaster might break apart. One star for the scenery surrounding the coaster. I do not recommend this to even the biggest coaster enthusiast. 😔

Super cool terrain idea but I was in severe pain the whole ride from my head bouncing around. I would never return to this coaster.

I love thrill rides, but at 71yrs I probably had no business riding this one! It jostles you side to side and up and down-oh my spine. I couldnt appreciate the forest it runs through, i was fearing for my life~lol. For those with young bones and want a true thrill this one's for you!

Throughout my lifetime, I’ve ridden some good wooden coasters, and this is by far my favorite. It is a part of what I like to call the CCI Golden Age, from the opening date of Shivering Timbers up until New Mexico Rattler, when Cornball Express, Tremors, and Ghost Rider were built. Of course, the 5-time golden ticket winner in Bristol was built it this time frame, and has surely upheld its name as one of the world’s premier wooden coasters. I can never get enough of this ride, and it makes me feel a sense of nationalism for my small home park. Would give more starts if I could, thank you Boulderdash for making me the enthusiast I am today. (P.S. below is a rare sight, on available during the Holiday Lights festival: the drop is unveiled, in all of its glory. Thought it was cool.)

I had fun at Lake Compounce but as a thrill seeker, this ride was the roughest roller coaster I’ve ever been on. Maybe I’m a wimp or my taste is different but it damn near broke my back. Being around for 20+ years, you can tell it’s outdated. Also, the ride guy stopped the coaster halfway up the ramp… while I was strapped in. All because a teenager had her phone out and he yelled at her to put it away. If she drops it, that’s her issue. Don’t stop a ride where people are strapped in for something as ridiculous as that.
