Our last day in mammoth we went to mono lake kayaking with Stuart and Sue. It was an amazing experience. They were very patient with the inexperienced and facilitated everything for everyone. I highly recommend them.

Stuart was friendly and offered some history of the area and pointed out wildlife during the paddle. Good, clean equipment. We launched around 8:45 and docked back after a pleasant paddle around 11:45

We booked this tour with Caldera Kayaks without any expectations. Susan and Stuart were professional from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. They were friendly and helpful the entire time. They had a broad knowledge of the area and the local wildlife. They also gave us some tips about some awesome hikes in the area. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have a good experience in the mammoth lakes area.

Our group of 8 took the Mono Lake Tufa Tour 8/9/19.. The price was reasonable, guides Stuart, Sue and Beth were knowledgeable and helpful to our group's first time kayakers. We learned so much about the area and the lake's history. Highly recommended.

Our guide, Stewart, was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. He took us out on the lake for a great paddle and shared his knowledge of the area’s geological history, ecology and native tribes right up to Mark Twain’s opinion of the lake and what Hollywood movies were filmed in the area. He took us to a landing where he did a science experiment that formed a calcium carbonate precipitate to explain how the tufa structures were formed. Oh yes, and the otherworldly looking tufa towers, lots of them and up close!
