Room was decent and very Comfortable for being so old. Needs renovation and upgrades, especially technology and shower. Convenient location. Nice amenities like jacuzzi, shower, windows that open, bed, fire place, and chairs to sit outside and watch the ocean. Being across the ocean is great. Amazing location. Pillows were super uncomfortable. Had to ask for down pillows and got them. Checking in was done at other hotel location. coffee and tea was not available at our location, throughout the day as expected.

I loved my stay here. The room was very comfortable and the service was great. I fell asleep to the sound of the ocean every night and woke up to have coffee with the sunrise. It was great to be just across the street from the ocean and the boardwalk. I’ll definitely be back.

The location is perfect and close to the boardwalk. The bed was a little lumpy. |There's a step-down as you enter your room which you don't see when carrying all your luggage. Although there's a sign by the step you don't really see it until too late. Warning should be posted closer to the door.

Really two stars but I upgraded to 3 due to David’s superb professionalism and ability to help rectify a switch to their sister property. I would perhaps consider coming back to Cambria Landing if I could book a room *without* the jacuzzi hot tub, or if the tub was located in a well ventilated restroom. However I booked the partial ocean view king with the jacuzzi tub, and the ventilation for such a large tub is just not adequate or sufficient. Moisture + no ventilation = mold. Jacuzzi tub in the room is a romantic idea but not so practical in reality. Please clean up these rooms and add the right ventilation to not become a health hazard! My lungs couldn’t take more than 2 nights

The room had an awful smell as if cheap cleaning supplies is what was used before my stay to clean the room or the old carpet holds bad oders in not sure but I had to get cleaning supplies to get the smell out including in the bedding. I had to have the windows open as well. It was definitely not pleasant and the towel bar kept falling off. The fireplace didn’t do much. Not enough hot water in the shower or tub. I was told when booking I’d have the best room over seeing the ocean and my view was of the large tree! Very disappointing! Over all it was ok and I don’t see myself coming back. I was charged a $50 hold that I’m still waiting to see refunded!!!!!

Beautiful place across a 2 lane street is the ocean. The inn was clean, employees were nice, bed a bit too soft. Tv didn’t work and no one available to come fix the problem. There was a fireplace that did work. Don’t eat or drink anything provided for in the room or they will charge you. We would go back. I do recommend this inn

My husband and I stayed for two nights while travelling by motorcycle. The hotel's location is great; it's across the street from the ocean/beach. The Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill is next door - a great restaurant! A short drive away was Hearst Castle, and we could see the Elephant Seals.
The service was poor, the check-in was rushed, and each time we visited the front desk, it was unattended with a note that they were at a different property nearby. The room was okay but basic; the carpet was dirty. The hotel is okay if you are looking for a quick stopover, but I wouldn't recommend it for a long-term holiday.

Stayed here for a long weekend, and overall, the experience was good. The location was great with beautiful views. Cute town nearby for shopping and food. Close proximity to Hearst Castle - which was our main destination.

The service overall has room for improvement. I received a text message the day of check-in, which I saw while making the drive there, notifying me that if I arrived after 6pm I would have to go to a sister hotel to check in after hours. Fortunately, we arrived before the cut-off time, but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. The email I received to confirm my reservationnoted that the front desk was open 8am - 6pm but only noted checking in at a sister hotel if arriving after 11pm.

The person working at the front desk was nice enough at check-in and when we ordered breakfast delivery the next morning. However, we had asked the cleaning staff for extra pillows and were told they would bring some right down. After waiting for awhile I went to the front desk and the person working was in the back office with the door open and didn't acknowledge me at the desk. When I finally got their attention I asked about the pillows and he assured me that they would bring down the pillows. I noted that we had to leave and asked for them to be left in the room. When we got back, no pillows had been delivered. It just seemed like they didn't care or want to accommodate any requests. A little disappointed in the service overall.
