What an incredible half day spent with Captian Adam in Big Cypress National Preserve. This was a birthday present from my husband and it was one of his best yet. We learned so many interesting things about the history and vegetation of the area. My husband, who also grew up in the area, and Adam had the best stories of running around as kids here. I would recommend this to everyone who wants a taste of the real Florida. Thanks Captian Adam for a extra fancy day!

Really had a wonderful time. They were extremely accommodating. We were late, but they waited. They basically called it "our trip", so if we saw something we wanted to look at longer they stopped to let us see. Additionally, our captain was full of information about the area and the animals. His love for the area and the critters was contagious. So much to go on about, but the bottom line is my wife and I had a fantastic time! We really appreciated being able to take this trip.

Captain Daniels was such an amazong guide.

When we met him it was so fun from the beginning and we felt secure with him. šŸ™Œ
He told us so many information about the nature and wildlife and we had so good conversations.

He brought us through the everglades with his Swamp Buggy with 5 others on the tour. At the beginning we saw a few alligators but later on unforgunately we could not see any more wildlife just the great nature.

He told us so many things about airplants, quite a bit much, but it was fine. Every history was from his own life and he told us secret things that only locals know. He is making this job his whole life. And he is 70+!!! šŸ˜€šŸ˜€šŸ˜€

Would love to go with him again and i can recommend this tour to the fullest.ā¤ļø

Stay local. SUPPORT LOCALS! We almost did the airboat tour today, but ran into Capt Steve last min and changed our plan. Glad we were able to have such a private first hand look at the Everglades. This is a must-see if you’re looking for a taste of what this area use to look like from someone born and raised. Capt Sherald kept the excursion so fun for us! Bring whatever drinks and snacks you want, water is provided in a shared cooler. Tour lasts approximately 3-4 hours, would recommend a long sleeve you can take on and off.

Our family had the best time on the swamp buggy. We saw some wildlife, waded through the waters to cool off for a few, learned about the history of the land and just got the best up close experience of the real everglades. This is not a trip full of frill but it was an experience you would only get if you had a friend living out there that knew the land and took you out for a ride. We loved Captain Daniel. Our 11 yo and 7 yo loved it so much they are already talking about doing it again.

Captain Daniels was amazing! He had generational knowledge of the Everglades. He knew every foot of where we went. My teen had a great time. He tailored our experience to what we wanted to get out of it. For us, we wanted immersion into the real and dirty and interactive Everglades environment. We got that. I have explored around the Everglades my whole life, but never have gotten to get into the interior like this, in this way. We learned a lot on native history of the area, beautiful different types of ecosystems within the Everglades, and he instructed us on how to enjoy the Everglades on foot next time on trails and do it safely. He was a colorful guide and I would definately take a tour again. We got lucky at the end of the season and got the tour to ourselves, that was amazing. Captain Daniels was very good with my teen son and involved him and was an excellent teacher.
It is for sure inmersive in environment and if you do the tour right, you will get your shoes wet, or muddy or dirty!

So we booked this as my son (10yr) my partner and her parents never have been to the everglades,

We booked a 2pm private tour 31/03/24

I just want to say that captain daniel is amazing, he was lovely and told us sooooo much information on the area and my son loved him,
they had a running joke as he is english and daniel acted like he had no idea what he was saying,

This trip i learn’t so much about the history of the land, tree’s, plants, animals , why who and when of that also, i discovered very quickly that daniel was passionate about his job, he enjoyed his work and this made it extra special for us! Some times these days really depend on your guide,

it not just a 4wheel truck through the dirt,

At points you cant just hear nothing, this was just special!
we see a-lot of animals and also at 36 i had a bit of schooling,

I would book again and i wish daniel all the happiness

(Brits) lol
