This place SUCKS. very bare bones basic room. The pictures online are very deceiving. They also sneakily charge you $25 for a “resort fee” even though this is not advertised when booking. There’s a Kitchenette, but not even a plastic fork. You have to request a kitchen box, which is probably $50. There’s a long list of fees they will charge you if you steal a drawer knob $20 the couch, the refrigerator etc laughable and pathetic.
Traffic noise is loud, I went back to request a different room since there were definitely others available, however I didn’t feel like waiting 30 minutes in line. This is part of the larger Hollywood hotels chain, so customer service is definitely lacking. I will not stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The rooms are ok. Not exactly super clean, but for the price it's fine for a night. My problem with this hotel was the customer service. They were so incredibly rude, from the woman at the desk checking people in and out, I saw her snap at 2 different people, to the woman patrolling the breakfast station to make sure no one came in more than twice. I saw this breakfast cop yell at a woman for going through the line 3 times because she was getting food for herself, spouse, and 2 children. We ended up leaving right after that. I will NEVER go back.

WARNING: there is a penalty charge for cancellation, even if it's ahead of time! I did not receive any help from the front desk management at all. Even changing the date to a later date, I was refused. I got stuck paying for 1 night I was never there for.

A block off the broadwalk and beach.
Lovely courtyard where they serve breakfast. Also where I enjoyed relaxing and even getting work done. Check in was smooth. Parking is interesting but worth it. I picked this as a last minute budget hotel. I will be back in the area for business and will stay again.

I wish I had read about the hotel's sale in December 2021 and that it is now managed by a low-cost hotel conglomerate. This change clearly impacted the quality and organization of the service.||We arrived at 10 PM and faced the first confusion: there was no clear signage for check-in. A sign indicated we should head to the reception of another hotel a block away. There, in addition to the inconvenient displacement, we were surprised by additional fees not specified in the booking: a US$28 service charge, US$19 for parking, and a US$100 deposit.||We inquired about the breakfast included in our reservation, and the attendant informed us it was not offered. This was just the beginning of our frustration.||After check-in, we were taken to a different building, two blocks away from Casa Pellegrino. The place looked abandoned, conveying a sense of insecurity. When we expressed our dissatisfaction and requested to stay at the originally booked hotel, the attendant claimed it was under maintenance – which proved to be a lie, as there were guests staying there.||The room we were taken to was deplorable: the overwhelming smell of low-quality cleaning products was strong, the floor was sticky, and everything seemed dirty, greasy, and poorly maintained. The iron windows were rusted and could not be opened, and the door did not close properly, likely due to a makeshift repair after a break-in.||At 2:00 AM, we left the hotel, as it was unbearable to stay there. When we went to check out, the reception smelled like marijuana, and the movement of people was suspicious. We experienced a lot of fear.||This experience was utterly unsatisfactory and disorganized, highlighting a lack of consideration for guests' well-being and expectations. I definitely do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Be warned, if you have booked this hotel or plan to through a third party and paid in full, just know when you check in you are going to be beat over the head with a service fee for everyday you booked, parking, and a $100 deposit out of pocket… so pretty much $200 extra… and if you don’t pay it you don’t get a refund and you are just booty out of luck. The decor is nice the rooms look tidy… however I was compelled to write a review due to the roaches…. Maybe there are old carcasses of roaches, however they appeared in the bed, and one crawled on my lady’s arm in the dark, which ruined the mood if you know what I mean. Coffee would have been nice as well… but a dead roach ruined that notion as well. But if you have no issues with that.. its a nice place… and don’t forget to bring some extra money if you booked through Expedia or any other third party 🙂
