Richard, our Greeter, made an itinerary that perfectly matched what we were interested in visiting. We learned a lot about Chicago’s history, architecture and culture. We had a wonderful time touring the City with him: he was a great, warm, very knowledgeable guide and we felt really comfortable.
The experience exceeded our expectations by far! (and our expectations were high).

What an incredible experience with Chicago Tour Greeter Stetson. Even though it was a misty cold May day, we walked over 6 miles learning more about this amazing historical city. We saw learned about and viewed sites we would never had seen or known on our own. What a wonderful volunteer service this city provides. We are grateful for this opportunity and highly recommend to all.

Just finished an amazing tour with Bob Popovich. If you find yourself in Chicago he’s more than amazing. We saw so many nooks and crannies of the city. This was our first time visiting Chicago as our son is running the Marathon on Sunday. I cannot recommend this service enough! Thank you Bob from the bottom of our hearts.

We chose Chicago Greeter in 2012 and our greeter was Ayanna Lewis. I've traveled all over the world and 11 years later, I still fondly think about this experience. It was one of the most enjoyable travel experiences that I've ever had, and it was FREE!!! She took us ALL over the city and she was so knowledgeable about everything! If you go to Chicago, you definitely have to choose Chicago Greeter if you want to have an amazing experience. It will not be disappointed!

Our greeter was Mary, who showed us a bunch of off-the-beaten track historical architecture spots and views of the city, which we LOVED. She was very responsive and sent a ton of great recommendations via email. It was easy to connect with her at the Cultural Center. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the city and super friendly. She also had a lot of great advice to share about seeing the city. We would not have had such an enjoyable and informative trip without the Greeters.

What a wonderful experience! Despite the challanges of a larger than usual group, Mary gave us a fabulous insider's tour of the Loop area. She was so knowledgeable and worked the tour around the group. This tour was definitely a highlight of our visit.

Tried booking 3.5 weeks before coming. Never heard anything back. Sent a couple emails to international greeters and never received a response! Heard fabulous things about this service but so sad that no one replied 🥹

We visited Chicago to meet my best friend and arranged a visit with Chicago Greeter for our first day. We were so lucky to meet Marie and get a chance to walk around Pilsen with her. She showed us beautiful murals in the neighborhood, explained it's history. And we all enjoyed a delicious taco lunch at 5 rabanitos. We had the best time and most certainly recommend this experience to anybody that visits the city.
