First time customer! We will be back! I had the build your own sandwich, I could hardly fitted in my mouth to bite. It was delicious! The pasta salad was fantastic, my wife's dietary plate was delicious, her coffee was just right, her salad was so good she even ate the croutons which she never does! We have to get there for the prime rib, and, Cindy is moving across the street to the old Linda's restaurant. That in itself is exciting. I can't wait to see that menu! The current location is going to stay open as just a bakery. I'm totally serious, if you haven't been, you've got to go! I just finished my red velvet cupcake, and🧁 I really don't like red velvet, but this is going to be my new favorite without a doubt. I need to try and get there for breakfast, that looked extremely good but we were at the cancer center and, we didn't get out in time. You've got to go, I've reviewed a lot of places, and this is absolutely top tier 3%. It's kind of like the old European cafes, come in, good conversation, good food, and good friends. They are familia, tiamo familia!✌🏽🫶🏽

Very nice folks running this store! Anytime we come up we will be visiting and having an apple dumplin. I'm sure the sandwiches and everything else they have are all great because the food being prepared smells fantastic. Turtles are great apple cheese cake strudel and orange cupcake very good!
Sandwich side and chips 7.99 very good deal.

The sweetest little shop! Indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty seasonal decor. Normal selection that you would expect from a bakery. When we came in there were several seniors stopping to by to pick up freshly made heat-and-eat meals. Very pleasant interactions between the customers and the employee at the counter. I'll be back to buy some of their beautiful hot cocoa bombs! Only thing I would add to this shop would be lattes and grab-and-go breakfast sandwiches.

I don’t have any problems with this place, the food they serve is great & the employees are great. I heard that they are moving across the street to where Linda’s restaurant used to be. I’m happy for the opportunity that they were given, but I’m a little concern about it. I think they’re biting off more than they can chew. The previous owners of the restaurant that was across the street from the sweet stop called Linda’s had completely wrecked the place. I actually happened to run into one of the employees during one of their days off & asked their opinions on it who I will be not mentioning their name. They said they’re a little concerned about the whole thing since the sweet stop was supposed to get a loan to cover some of the damages that was done by former Linda employees… but the problem is that the owners of the shop never got the loan. They said that the boss & the boss’s daughter are sometimes arguing with each other in back about how some things should be done a certain way which makes in frustrating to work in the back & make the atmosphere uncomfortable. Also they are limited on employees working there which makes it more concerning if they are hiring the right people or gonna hire if they move across the street. I noticed that the boss hired a certain individual back that other employees had problems (& customers including myself had problems with) working with due that individual just not remembering, spacing out, or just not doing their job right even though the individual been there over a YEAR. The employee that I talked to said that they’re getting to a point where they don’t wanna work there anymore & probably go & find somewhere else to work at. It’s seems that the business is trying to do a bakery & restaurant at the same time when they move across the street which is another problem that the employee has. Even I find it impossible yet a mind cluster for the business to do due to with a few of the reasons stated by one of their employees.

Again, I don’t have any problems with the shop. I’m just concern that they are trying to take up more than they should be doing if they are moving across the street so soon.

A really nice little place. It’s geared more toward baked goods, but my wife and I stopped there for a nice brunch one morning. It was good.

Service with a smile!

I ordered from this shop as a blind order. I've never had anything from them before. Never seen any of their work etc. I called and explained what I wanted and sent a similar picture . I ordered the number 21 in actual Cake . Not cupcakes . And all I asked was to please make it pretty with different shades of pink . And can I just say AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING !! This cake was simply beautiful and the price was great as well as the taste was great !! This cake even had pink gumballs on it and gold flakes ! Very pleased will def order from them again !

We followed our noses to this delectable sweet shop. Literally, the wonderful baked goods can be detected from down the street - how can one resist. Cindy Pocklington is a talented baker and very personable, gracious woman. We tried the apple bar, which was a little too spongy for our tastes, but moist and good. The muffin, on the other hand, was out of this world - yummy!

The sweets are amazing and love that they serve meals too. Picked up some chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day. They also serve sugar-free cream puffs which my mom still raves about months later after bringing her some for Christmas. My husband really enjoyed their egg salad sandwich. The owners are very friendly too. Definitely a must try in Winthrop Harbor!
