From the moment I entered the ER, the staff was caring, efficient and made me comfortable. Honestly, I never had anything positive to say about Anderson or Anderson community hospital. Moving here a year ago and having previous experiences with community hospital in the past, I was floored on the level of excellence demonstrated by your staff in the continuum of care. Quite frankly, due to your boutique size and staff in Anderson I am convinced I am alive today. I will only use Community Anderson from this point forward

Very very satisfied! They made sure me and my unborn child were token care of with up most importants and respect! I really appreciate the level of care I received from the staff at community health network! No matter how small the problem was or really not that big of a deal they made me feel like no matter is too small to be treated with the same concerns as any other! Thank you guys!

I went in for an upper endoscopy on February 5th of this year and woke up with every capillary in my face ruptured. I had to have anesthesia because I wake up too much under twilight, so I was completely out. When they wheeled me back out to my husband, they claimed I had a "smoker's cough," (which I don't) and blamed me. Even if I was one of Marge Simpson's sisters of the Marlboro Man himself, my care still laid in their hands while I was under anesthesia administered by one of their physicians. My doctor did not come to speak to me after the procedure, as is customary, because he probably couldn't look me in the eye. The rupturing across my face went from my hairline to my collar bone and from ear-to-ear. It was so bad around my eyes that it looked like I had lost a boxing match. My co-workers literally jumped and gasped in shock when they saw me. I hid in my house for days. When I complained to Community, they said that they had investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing. Be warned: they allegedly, according to their own story, let me cough so hard for the entire duration of my procedure that I ruptured every capillary in my face, and then they told me that no one had broken any protocols. That's their level of patient care.

You need more help! IV s are CONSTANTLY beeping up and down the hall. Nurse call lights take forever to get answered. The employees are busy so it's not their fault. Also the food is the WORST! My last admission was for dehydration and I could hardly eat any of that nasty food!

Terrible. Wife spent 5 days in hospital. Endured 12 attempted IV’s left bruising all over her arms. She was admitted for internal bleeding and hospital doctor wanted to discharge her when her hemoglobin was at 7.4 which normal range is 12-16. Kept on liquid diet until day of discharge. Only allowed out of bed the night prior to discharge but somehow with her hemoglobin level still just over 8 she was told she was fit and able to climb the 11stairs necessary to enter our home. She requested a least one more day to have to regain strength. Was told if she stayed that it would not be okayed and we would have to pay. There is more that I could say but have been advised to keep things to myself for now. I can only say don’t go to this hospital .seek another facility.

I normally always come to Community Hospital but after my dad’s last visit we won’t be back. My dad has Alzheimer’s and had fallen, so we took him to the emergency room. They ended up admitting him and put him on 5th floor. They didn’t take care of him very well. We Came into his room several times and his sheet were wet from where they hadn’t taken him to the bathroom. His tray of food was by his bed. No one helped open his food even though we told them several times he couldn’t do it by himself. They were walking him without a Gait belt. His bed alarm went off and the nurse set at her desk for 7 mins before she came and checked on him. Yes we timed it. We talked to the head nurse and told her all about it plus them not using a Gait belt. ( he was a high fall risk) she said she would take care of it next day same thing. Finally day 5 after complaining the head Nurse of floor came and talked to us. It was the worst 5 days . If you have someone with Alzheimer’s you might want to take somewhere else because it’s sad you can’t trust them to take care of your loved one. There were a few good nurse that did help. Miss Tina, Ciara, and Kim and I believe Lina. I appreciate the help they gave my dad.

Well, considering your anesthesiologist that day was very rough with my wife and Dr. Minhas caused an abscess in my wife's throat. Of course y'all investigated yourselves and found nothing wrong. Minhas also said he wasn't going to do a biopsy prior and decided to do one. Would've been nice to have my wife gargle that anesthetic she did in October of last year.

The anesthesiologist also decided to wait my wife out to see if she'd pass out before giving her anything else AND THEN decided to blame everything on my wife being a smoker. I'm sorry, but the propfol shouldn't be affected by smoking and causing a burning sensation throughout my wife's entire body. On top of choking horribly. Even the RN that came in to talk to us after said many patients that day were having issues with the anesthetia.

Unacceptable, she also went to her GP the next day and he was mad as hell about it. Had to prescribe her amoxicillin and liquid codeine (tylenol 3) for the pain, but sure. You guys didn't find anything was done wrong. I'm perfectly fine paying for the one in October but I'm not paying for the February 5 upper endoscopy/throat stretching. If it comes to it yeah we'll have no problem sending something to the department of health and if we need to seek other methods, that's fine too. You can't treat people like this.

It's bad enough in 2012/2013 when we went in there and the ED doctor treated my wife with disdain because she was uninsured and your facility also said "We InVeStIgAtEd OuRsElVeS aNd FoUnD wE hAvE dOnE nOtHiNg WrOng"

That's like McDonald's investigating itself and determining it's food won't make you obese or an IA at a police department finding that they didn't commit brutality against any individual. It's a garbage policy to do that because of course you're going to protect your own.

Edit 2/19/25: She's already discussed it with your facility and patient advocacy and you've already made your decision which you can clearly see by the pictures I've posted. The doctors in surgery woefully underreport the patients' pain levels to free up beds which is unscrupulous. This is per your own nursing staff by overhearing them. I mean, this kind of seems like something the IDoH or channels 4 (CBS/WTTV) , 6 (WRTV/ABC), 8 (WISH), and 13 (WTHR) would want to know about

Go to any hospital but this one. They don’t care about you. I sat in the waiting room with a head injury from a car accident for AN HOUR before I left crying to go to a different hospital. And yes, they let other people who came in after me to go in before me for the flu. (Which the flu could’ve been bad but there’s a head injury who came in before them in the waiting room) They are lucky it was a grade two concussion. This hospital is pathetic. Go to St. Vincent in Elwood, they’re amazing.
