Out of my entire life this may have been the worst stay I have ever had at any hotel. We traveled for the weekend for a huge youth wrestling tournament in the area. The prices charged for the weekend were just over double of a normal rate, which I expected due to the event. However all adults and kids were yelled at nightly if anyone wanted to hang out in the public area or lobby every night of our stay. While everyone was gathered together watching the sporting event on television that brought many families into the area, the staff very rudely told everyone to go to their room and shut off the television with only 30 seconds left in the event. When everyone kindly asked to leave it on for 30 seconds they clicked the off button and rudely said no. The entire stay felt like a luxury prison with rules and an awful design to not have a place for guests to sit and talk to friends after their events. Every time we got on the elevator random guests would ask if we had dealt with similar rudeness. The manager responded that their rules are clearly on their website, but when I went back to look again it is not clearly on their site. Under hotel rules it doesn’t mention this and only does if you click more and then it’s in fine print. Rooms are clean and decent breakfast. If traveling for business I could see the hotel being nice. An awful experience if you are traveling with friends or kids.

#8 photo is of a dining area that i never saw. i think the dining area was remodeled and is as photos #1 thru #7 now show. we stayed at 3 hotels on a 10 day trip and this was our least liked. while the rooms were clean, they did not have a side chair to relax in. only an office chair and a straight-backed wooden chair like a dining room chair from a garage sale. not comfortable at all for a 4 night stay. the linens & bed were just okay. the towels were thin and rough. the inside back wall of the clothes closet was painted black making it difficult to locate items in there. i thought the breakfast buffet was skimpy. i would not chose to stay here again.

I'm all about a great hotel experience while on a budget! This hotel exceeds all expectations for being clean, convenient, and cozy! Easy and fast check in, nighttime staff clearly had experience which always is a great first impression. Hotel room is awesome with a living room with TV and bedroom with door also including a TV. This hotel is great for multiple night stay if you want to get cozy and "move in" for a few nights! Feels like home! Pool and hot tub in lower level is a great accessory!

This is our third time staying at this property over the past several years. We will continue to come back because we love the location being close to eateries and shopping along with many area attractions within 15 minute drive. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Booked my reservation on the choice hotel site. Had a confirmation email confirming booking. Upon arrival I presented my ID and was informed they could not find my booking. I presented the email with my confirmation number and they were still unable to find my reservation. I was told that the system did not sync and I could book a room as a walk in. I was ok with doing this but upon asking if they will provide me with a statement saying this as I have an email showing the confirmation and charge to my card I do not want to pay twice. The general manager was called and that's when everything went down hill. I asked for clarification if I would be refunded if the system was to synch and they were to recieve my payment from choice hotel. The manager kept saying this was not his problem as he does not have my money and I need to take this matter up with choice hotel. After voicing how stupid this was he then told the woman at the front desk not to book me a room as I was no longer welcome here. I was then told to call choice hotel and figure it out. The woman at the front desk was very nice and understanding but the general manager was horrible.

Reaponse:
As the general manager you still failed at customer service even in your reply. Asking for clarification was me trying to educate myself on how this transaction works. Choice hotel rep did a wonderful job explaining that the charge is a hold and would have been released at check in. Since you failed to check me in it would have still been released as a no show as they had my confirmation on their end, hence my concern for double charge. I didnt go into the hospitality business you did it was your job to help educate me instead you were inpatient and hostile, which seems to be a pattern of yours based on another review.

Positive: The location was great and the area felt safe. Additionally, the staff who prepare the breakfast were wonderful. They kept everything well stocked and the dining area very clean. Negative: The air conditioner/heater was really loud. At first it was a little noise and as the weekend went on the sound became unbearable the last night.

Room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was easily accessible by bus. Our bathroom did not have a toilet paper holder, which seemed like a weird oversight, and there were no recycling bins to be found. When we asked the first at the desk, he had no idea either. Not a fan of that at all.
