I have attended numerous Creative Memories “Scrapbooking With Diane” weekend retreats over the past several years. Attendees stay in the hotel, we use the ballroom to do our crafts, and buffet-style meals are provided. The guest rooms are well-kept and the beds are very comfortable. Maid service is provided only for stays of 2 or more nights and this was clearly stated when I checked in. However, the housekeeping staff cheerfully and promptly assist with any request. In fact, I have found all staff: front desk, housekeeping, maintenance and hospitality to be pleasant and helpful, without exception. During this stay, the meals were truly exceptional. Everything served was very fresh, excellent variety of items to suit all tastes, food was plentiful and delicious. I discovered that there is a new chef/food service manager, and while the meals have always been tasty, I noticed a positive difference this time. The chef came out to introduce himself and to see if there was anything any of us needed. The food service assistants have remained the same over the years; Julio in particular goes out of his way to ensure that we are comfortable and well taken care of. Good employee retention and friendly staff reflect a well-run business. I look forward to my stays at Marriott Shelton.

Nice clean modern rooms. I got the unit with a kitchen becuase I like to eat organic and pasture raised. The sncer causing Teflon pans that are scratched up from the metal utensils pretty much ruin that. Good on the utensils bad on the pans. Induction stove thst can only use the pans provided and beeps at you constantly when you lift up the pan to move butter around etc. Fix those issues and it's 5 stars. Also the heat will blow out cold air at 70-72 but get entirely too hot above that.

Everything about this hotel is great! From checking in to leaving! The pool was great, rooms were clean, fully loaded with everything you need. Veronica the house keeper is FANTASTIC! Nothing bad to say about this hotel.

PLEASE DONT BOOK THIS DIRTY HOTEL. They canceled my room for two nights stay had me stuck in the cold with my 3 yo. They said I showed up late for my room so they canceled it and I PAID IN FULL. Spoke to two managers and they wanted more money from me. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this hotel.

Celebrated my mother's 60th Birthday here and it was an amazing party! Kristen was so helpful throughout the event, making sure everything we requested was there and coordinating the timing of events throughout the night. It felt truly seamlessand we were able to enjoy the party with guests. The venue was very nice and the food was quite spectacular 👌. All our requests were met and we can't wait to book the next event here!

Good hotel, rooms are clean and comfortable. Furniture and amenities are outdated (the tiny drip coffee pot rather than a Keurig, the huge dysfunctional wall AC unit) and could be improved. There was also not enough parking when I stayed. But overall not bad, just not great for a Marriott.

I'm torn between giving this hotel a high-five and a gentle headshake. Let me explain.

The good stuff first: the room was a lovely oasis - clean, spacious, and with a view that didn't make me want to pull the curtains shut. The service? Top-notch! Friendly faces and helpful hands all around.

But, dear Courtyard By Marriott Shelton, it's time to address the elephant in the room (or rather, the ancient air conditioner). It's so loud, I'm pretty sure I heard it yelling at the towels for not drying fast enough. Speaking of which, we didn't get fresh towels on our second day, and let me tell you, using damp towels is not the most luxurious experience.

And then there are the walls. Thin. Like, "I can hear my neighbor's thoughts" thin. Luckily, our neighbors weren't party animals, but still, a girl needs her beauty sleep, right?

All in all, this hotel is a great choice if you don't mind a few quirks. Just don't forget your earplugs and a towel dryer (just kidding...or am I?).

P.S. Please consider upgrading that air conditioner. It's older than some of the guests (no offense, seniors!).

This is a pretty good hotel. Clean, friendly staff, great lobby lounge and bar. Room was comfortable.

The cons-the elevator is deathly slow, the water pressure is horrible (shower is a dribble and you have to hold the toilet lever for about 6-7 seconds for it to flush). One “nice to have” would be a sitting area outside that actually gets sun. The front of the hotel is under the overhang and the nice patio of the lounge is in the shade all day. I was there on a beautiful weekend and would have liked to be outside without a chill.

But, this was a pretty good hotel in a good location, a bunch of strip malls with lots of food and service choices.
