OMG, So much fun! What an awesome place with these gentle giants roaming around the ranch. Tara will take you on a great little trail ride so you feel like you’re on top of the world. No matter if you are a beginner or advanced rider you will enjoy these magnificent creatures. The donkeys and baby Clydesdales only add more ambience to the thrill of the ranch.

TEN STARS!!! What a beautiful adventure. My friend and I took the vehicle tour because she recently had back surgery, so riding was out of the question. Covell's was on both of our Bucket Lists, so the vehicle tour was a great option. Tara greeted us, talked with us about the property and horses and then took us for our up close time with a few of the Clydesdales (3 were fouls which made it extra special). We then went up to the pastures to see the 'herd" - a few of the horse were curious and cam up to say hello. The views are beautiful! If you are on the Central Coast of California, this is a MUST!!
THANK YOU TARA COVELL FOR A WONDERFUL DAY!

The crew at Covell’s Clydesdales were friendly, very competent and professional horsemen! We were assisted any way necessary. The horses were gentle, well mannered and responded promptly to commands. The surrounding grounds were well maintained and clean. The same goes for the corrals and barns. All in all a delightful experience. The Clydesdales were healthy and well groomed. Definitely a Must for horse enthusiasts!!!

We had a wonderful time on our trail ride here! The horses are very well cared for. 2 hour experience, about an hour and 15 min ride. The trail we did was an out and back ride. Staff were very knowledgeable and thorough about explaining everything to new riders. Great for experienced and inexperienced riders. Would highly recommend!!

What a fantastic experience! I highly recommend this marvelous view of Cambria and the unique opportunity to experience a horse ranch. The horses are so sweet, the history of the ranch is very interesting and Tara (owner) is tough, kind, inspirational and gracious. If you have a daughter, get your girl to this ranch to witness some major girl power! My family really enjoyed this experience and I know yours will too. Thank you, Tara and good luck Grace!?

My wife found Covell ranch in Cambria, and booked an afternoon visit.
The instructions were forthright and easy to understand, on our arrival at the gate, about 10-15min before the visit, we were met by 6 other guests who had booked a vehicle tour, (Riding tours are also available). Tara and Chloe (our hosts ) arrived at the 12 noon start and the 8 of us boarded two Polaris quads.
Traveling to the ranch,Tara was very informative and humorous as we were all made comfortable and safe.
Once at the ranch we were greeted by 2 gigantic Clydesdales, moving on from there, a mom Clydesdale with her 8 day old colt, continuing on we headed up hill and experienced more and more Clydesdale as well as other horses and miniature donkeys scattered with the herd of Clydesdale. Finishing off our trip was a photo shoot at the top of the property.
Well worth the 1-1/2 hour trip and the money spent.
