We attended the 161st battle of Gettysburg over the holiday weekend. The reenactors were fabulous. They were very informative and had a wealth of knowledge. It was very hot and the reenactors must of been miserable in their outfits but everyone we spoke to stayed in character and made this a great experience.

Had a nice time there was there for the settlers to pick up equipment for my own reenactment. Only downfall I seen is that you need more salary and more Victorian stuff to that. Being sold just like in the old days back in the 70s.

Great time at the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg at the Daniel Lady Farm. Reenactors are informative and into character. Lots of great demonstrations from artillery to the medical practices of the time. Sutlers, bands, sewing, clothing and various small arms are on display. These folks are dedicated to the telling of history and the crafts they represent. Great battle sequence towards the end. Even a revival was held. Great stuff for everyone. Bring a kid and help pass on history.

We were here for the reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg on the 160th Anniversary. It felt like we were actually at the battle. We have never seen so many reenacters or gear in one location. We enjoyed everything about it!

While in Gettysburg be sure to visit the Daniel Lady Farm historic sight. Be sure to visit their website for special events, tours, and visiting hours. The pristine Farm has been beautifully restored after its ill-fated experience during the battle of Gettysburg 1863 and aftermath. It served and as field hospital for injured and suffering soldiers and sadly so ravaged family home. The site is a location for reenactment, living history, and family events.
