Pro: inexpensive, clean, very comfy bed and pillows. Seems like the owners did some nice upgrades so it seems like a clean place to stay. Nice scenic pastures and cows behind the hotel. The shower had a nice and strong water flow; there was even a retractable clothesline you can use in the shower.

Con: next to the highway (we had the hotel at the end and did not hear any highway noises). Nothing immediately close by, but we were minutes away by car from downtown Novato, and 35 minutes by car to the parks near Point Reyes.

Other: we saw a bunch of men go in and out of each other rooms and causally talking at night and in the morning. They did not seem shady as their patio doors were wide open like they didn't have anything to hide. Not sure if they have extended stay or perhaps know each other or traveling together.

Other notes: I had a night check-in and saw another customer asking for extra towels. The hotel lady seem curt about it, but maybe she was overextended working by herself. Apparently, they do not have extra towels on hand, and housekeeping is not there at night. At least, the guy got the extra roll of toilet paper he requested.

Overall, I would probably stay here again.

Considering this hotel is half the price of everything else in town I was very pleased with it. As a solo female traveler, I asked for an upstairs quiet room and the only noise I could hear was from the freeway, but I just had my heater on, and that basically overtook the noise.. the thing I like the best was that the floors are vinyl plank, much cleaner than carpet.|The bathroom is adequate I like that the lights come on automatically and shut off automatically. I like that the room had a microwave and refrigerator. Many nicer places I’ve stayed you have to pay extra for that. Breakfast was not impressive. It was just coffee, tea oatmeal or yogurt.|But most hotel breakfasts aren’t much better. Front desk person was lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is located at a convenient location, close to a couple of fast-food places for a quick bite. While we like that it is a pet-friendly hotel, we were surprised to see how empty the hotel was. There were less than ten cars (including the parked trailer) in the parking lot. Out of what seemed to be 50+ rooms, it looked like less than 10 rooms were occupied. ||Based on how our room was, it could use some immediate renovations. The door, the seats, the lamps, the heater, all seem pretty worn. The microwave was one of the outdated models. I did not use it; so I cannot say how functional it is. The cleanliness of the room was mediocre. There was visible dust/dirt on one of the beds’ sheets. The phone was stained. ||One thing I found unbelievable was the toilet. The toilet seat was half peeled, obviously needing to get replaced. The toilet did not flush well; and it got clogged as soon as we used it the first time. I used the one in my friend’s room—that toilet did not flush well either.||Although the heater was very loud, it kept us warm throughout the night and we slept decently well. ||If you don’t mind something simple for breakfast, between 7-10am, the hotel offers some instant oatmeal, orange juice, coffee, and yogurt.||Kudos to the staff for being friendly and efficient! I hope this hotel will do better once it gets more customer flows.

The room mildly smelled like pet urine. There are no microwaves or fridges in the rooms. It's a pain in the ass to connect to their wifi for some reason. The TV remote in our room only had volume and power buttons working (couldn't watch TV either).

Other than that, with the exception of the raising floor tile, the room was nicely remodeled.

Spend the extra money per night for a better hotel. At least get a fridge and microwave.

Great place for the price. Excellent customer service, spacious rooms, old but clean. Rooms face out to a nice pool with a lift for handicapped people to get into the pool.

The hotel was clean and quiet. And the view from the room was beautiful. We stayed 1 night en route to our final destination. The parking lot had a lot of room, and our truck and trailer fit easily.

The shower/bath was broken, so I could not take a shower. The shower faucet was disassembled and laying on the counter. I notified the front desk staff and he only wrote down my room number without saying anything or providing any other notes. There was no follow up.||||In addition, there was dirt build up on the floors. You could see it and also feel the grind of the dirt under your shoes when you walk. It doesn't look like it's been cleaned in a very long time.||||There is a large gap in the front door (leading to outside) where the light is shining through. This is certainly contributing to the roach problem that several others have mentioned. ||||Speaking of the floors, the stick on lenolium floor tiles lifted and clicked when I walked through the room.||||There was a very large black bug smashed in the bathroom's door jam.||||I notified the man at the counter, also sharing pictures, and he only wrote down the room number without any notes and didn't offer any comment or compensation.

Just Breakfast could have more items, Donuts , croissants, apples and Decaf coffee.|The staff was very friendly and location near the town and the family we were visiting.|The room was clean and had plenty of towels. We liked the soap dispensers , we did not have to have bars of soap around.
