Short version of the story: One of my trucks needed a transmission. Mitch provided very prompt service I will give him that. Downfall was it took 4 days to do an 8 hr job causing our load to get rejected. It doesn’t end there. The trans was installed without clutch brake. It gets worse.. 1600 miles later the transmission fell out! Mitch wouldn’t back anything. Wound up taking him to court (well, having a court case as Mitch didn’t show up for anything). Judge awarded me $xxxx in the case PLUS interest to be paid annually. Still nothing out of Mitch.
Let’s get this handled Mitch. It’s been 2 years. Settle up and we can talk about deleting this review.
Edit to response: I highly doubt you didn’t get anything from a court order. Matter of fact, it was delivered to you by a county Sherriff and you threw it on the ground. I can do you a favor send you the order. See picture update. How we coming on this Mitch? Or am I going to have to start going after your and Sarah’s other bogus companies? Been going on long enough.

We were stranded in our bus (RV) he was the only person we could get to come help us. He was quick and figured out the problem and fixed it right away.

He was very concerned that the company we found to find him was going to charge too much and he is right close to 700.00 just to find the mechanic was crazy but almost 2200.00 for him to fix a starter wire... He did drive like 3 hrs to us but we paid his hr fee for his drive time and we thought fuel too but it was also a 2.00 a mile from the time he left until he returned too. He was offended because I called it highway robbery but I stand by that. With his God bless well maybe he should W.W.J.D. his cost to people. We canceled our credit card and disputed the charge because we thought it was fraud. The charge was from Rocky top diesel and he was dead horse so we had the bank send him his money back but I wish I could make 2200.00 for 6.5 hrs.

It was the worst place that we fixed our truck with them. It was a small hose for radiator colon they charge us $1000 in 1 mile blow out again. I’m totally not referred this mechanic to anybody just wasting your money and your time.

Our new go to place for our truck. They went above and beyond to get the truck gene working again and fix our broken shock mount the same day we contacted them. Will definitely be using again and worth the drive from phoenix. We greatly appreciate yall fitting us in and for finding a place to drop our trailer. Thank you again.

Poor work was done on our turbo/ actuator which caused us to be stuck on a mountain road in Utah. We had contacted Mitch who told us to drive slowly, no big deal. Well, when the STOP ENGINE light came on we had to pull over, get a $2000 tow by a big rig tow truck & got excellent repair care by Amen Diesel in cedar city Utah. The repair done by Dead Horse had almost burned our motorhome up. We presented the bill with pictures to Mitch & his response was that we should have called! Side of mountain, over 500 miles, in another state! Not a man of his word, nor does he have employees who know what they’re doing. Steer clear.

Needed to add plumbing to allow the use of external propane tanks for extended boondocking. Apparently since the kit on the shelf didn’t fit, the other two rv dealers in town “couldn’t” do it. Mitch at Dead Horse assembled the necessary plumbing and got it done same day. Very “can do”, not your typical slick rv money grabbers. The guys at Dead Horse Diesel and R.V. are ethical and do good work at a fair rate. They definitely went above and beyond. Give them a call.

My experience with dealing with Deadhorse diesel repair and the owner Mitch was a blessing to me and my company he helped out of a jam when he really had nothing to gain, except for doing the right thing! He is honest , knowledgeable and a GOD fearing man of integrity, which is a rarity now a days in the diesel repair field. So if you are looking for great service and someone who is trustworthy i recommend you to give Deadhorse diesel repair and call for your repair needs, it was a pleasure dealing with Mitch and his employees and I look forward to future endeavors dealing with Deadhorse.
