We had a fabulous time on our tour with George! He was a delight! He's courteous, professional, and FUN! I thought I knew the city, but George's knowledge, insights, and personal stories made Pittsburgh's history come alive. I wish we'd had more time. I definitely recommend this tour to visitors, and even locals as I'm sure that they'd discover a hidden treasure! In a city of champions, George ranks among the top!

We had a wonderful tour with George! He customizes the tour based on your interests and hobbies. He is SUPER knowledgeable about Pittsburgh and history in general, and he does it all with a sense of humor! He is a captivating speaker, involving participation from those who are taking the tour. While I have never lived in PA or Pittsburgh, my parents grew up in the area and I have a lot of family here, so I have visited a lot, but this is the first tour I’ve ever taken, and George taught me so much about Pittsburgh that I never knew. Whether visiting Pittsburgh or you’re a Pittsburgh native, take this tour!

From start to finish, this tour was awesome! George reached out two days beforehand to confirm pickup details, and he even called to have a quick chat.

The 2 hour tour was packed from start to finish with conversation and many details about the city of which he is clearly very passionate about. Our stay in Pittsburgh was only 48 hours, and I couldn't think of a better way to maximize it than this.

This was the most amazing tour! My husband and I visited for the Steelers v Giants game. We did this tour during the afternoon of game day. It took us 2 hours, FYI. It’s like an Uber guide around the city with George as our tour guide, who is probably the best ever. He’s live in Pittsburgh all his life so he knows everything. He’s fun, energetic, and interactive. Everyone knew him wherever we went. It really made the tour feel comfortable, like we knew we were getting our monies worth. The history and photo ops are so cool. You have to include the Duquesne Incline! We typically would do something like a pub crawl or brewery tour. But with just 2 days to visit, I wanted to get the best out of our experience! This was one of the best I’ve ever had. Don’t hesitate to book this. And make sure George is your guide! 10/10. Highly recommended.

George gave us a Fire in the Valley tour in Pittsburgh. The tour touched on the steel industry’s impact on the city and its labor movements. He is from at least 3 generations of Homestead residents, and all the family histories, local insider knowledge, and community lore really comes out beautifully in the tour. He was an amazing tour guide—really made the tour interpersonal, super engaging, steeped in the history of Pittsburgh, and gave my small group a lot to think and reflect on long after the tour ended. I think his tour was the best part of our weekend trip in the city. Highly recommend this tour and working with him to anyone—history novices and buffs alike.
