The hotel is charming and nicely appointed. It's in a great location that's convenient to walking into the West Hartford business district for dining, drinks, and shopping. They offer complimentary valet parking as well.

The rooms are rather nice in their furnishings and appointments, including nice touches like water bottles on ice, snacks, a minibar, and a decent bathroom. The room was generally clean. There were some hairs stuck to the shower walls from previous guests so I think some more attention to detail in housekeeping is needed.

That said, I primarily measure the quality of a hotel room on how good of a night's sleep I get. The room was way too warm, even in the middle of the winter, for a comfortable sleep. They only let you turn the thermostat down to 65 and the bed/bedding is quite warm. So all night we were using just the sheet and still uncomfortable. We did bring this to the attention of the front desk but she didn't seem to know what to say other than "sorry about that".

There is a basic free breakfast of middling quality that might appeal to travelers.

I had a 90 minute massage at the Spa and my massage therapist was Carl. My friend and I have worked with him in the past and he is incredible. He provided such a peaceful and soothing experience and applied the perfect amount of pressure. Such a nice individual. Thank you Carl! Happy to work with him again!

Seeking a luxury 10 star hotel?
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel in West Hartford, and I cannot recommend it enough!
From the moment I arrived, champagne served, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome and went out of their way to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. The level of service was exceptional — everyone was so friendly, accommodating, and eager to help with any request.

The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and well-appointed. It was clear that attention to detail was a top priority, as everything from the linens to the bathroom amenities was of the highest quality. It felt like a true home away from home.

What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is its location. Situated in the heart of West Hartford, it's perfect for exploring the local area. Within walking distance, I found amazing restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions, making it an ideal base for both business and leisure travelers.

If you're looking for a top-notch stay in West Hartford, this hotel is an absolute gem!

Exceeded all expectations. The hotel is gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and meticulously maintained. The staffing, from the front desk to the restaurant, were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and respectful to both human and dog guests alike. The rooms were well appointed, very clean, and comfortable. The hotel had many lounge spaces to relax, and the fitness room provided cold, eucalyptus infused towels to cool off, which was one of many details that sets the Delamar West Hartford apart from the others. Truly excellent.

Very nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the valet charging our EV overnight. We sat at the bar in the restaurant and had an excellent tuna appetizer and drinks. Our balcony looked out over the back fire pits and police station. I didn’t see any rats only pigs.

I can say one thing , it’s safe, clean, and comfortable. I am in love with their balcony room, very spacious . I had an issue with one of the front desk lady, but it was fixed quickly by the manager Sedek who is a wonderful person. I feel happy , and safe coming here, and I will definitely recommend this hotel again and again. Delamar is definitely the

The lobby is elegant, and the holiday décor is quite pretty. Check-in was efficient, although we were puzzled when the receptionist hesitated when we asked if our room was quiet. Our room backed to a creek and road, but the windows blocked the street noise. The only thing we could figure was that in a nearby room a dog barked frequently. When we mentioned it at the desk after our first night, the response was, “OK.” That’s it. The dog wasn’t hugely disturbing, so we didn’t make a fuss.|The only other disappointment was the quality of the complimentary breakfast. We expected a higher-quality food product than what was offered on the self-service buffet. No cooked-to-order items were offered, and the few hot items – scrambled eggs, potatoes, breakfast meats – were cold and overcooked. (We did not try the oatmeal.) |Otherwise, we were satisfied. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nicely equipped. The hotel is within walking distance of the charming West Hartford commercial area. Despite the minor disappointments, we would stay here again.

The room contained high end amenities and was quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a variety of quality food including gluten free options. The staff throughout the hotel was over-the-top friendly making our Christmas visit that much nicer. Did I mention the decorations? WOW! The real plus was the 24 hour "anything you want" coffee machine. Who doesn't want a hot chocolate on a cold Christmas Eve?||No better place to stay when in Hartford.
