Denver New Years Eve 2024 - 2025 Party - White Rose Gala NYE - Denver, Colorado

Passing through Denver for the New Year, my girlfriend and I wanted to do something special on NYE and find this event. It seemed like a well organized and lavish affair, but was more of a crowded costume party with poorly executed access to cocktails and several inexperienced bar and service staff.

Thinking we were getting better access and service going with VIP and a table, we quickly found ourselves waiting in very long lines in the VIP to buy insanely priced drink tickets...actual carnival style paper tickets you get playing skeeball ($5 a ticket and average drink = 5 tickets). So, at $25 to $30 a drink, long lines, weird dancing models in what was called the "speakeasy", and general low-energy vibe in the VIP area, the cost of almost $200 a person just to enter the previous experience and almost the same amount for a table in the no-fun speakeasy was excessive and obcene.

Additionally, the event flow was poorly managed and the staff interaction with guests lackluster. The ballroom, which was awkwardly inconvenient from the VIP area with long lines blocking the path, was the only fun spot of the whole event. Mind you the music was alright, but definitely far from what was supposed to be a theme from the "roaring 20s" and Gatsby.

For the way this is advertised and the money charged, you can do a lot better - such as create an app to purchase drinks instead of making people stand in line for paper nuisances... and throw in one or two drinks with the entry ransom you are charging.

I'd pay more for better experience, but the VIP was coach class.

Kind of lame to put the casino in the VIP but everything else is smooth.

Drink ticket system sucks, they should let people buy tickets before hand. Seems like a ruse to make people buy more drink tickets cause they're scared of standing 30 minutes in line again. $15 gets you a shot in soda, $20 for a shot in soda with a splash of champagne, and prices shoot up after that. They're also super small, nowhere near the quality you'd get at any bar so don't let them tell you they're drinks are priced "normally".

Dance floor should definitely be bigger considering half the people there are trying to swing and running into everyone else.

And the balloons they had in a net on the ceiling all night didn't fall at midnight... or at all

For the 3 hours we were there we spent 2 in lines and 1 dancing. Lines seemed to be the main activity. A lot of people seemed to want to take normal photos, not even in front of the backdrops because lines, but couldn't find a good space to do it mostly for lighting reasons. Also the "photo booth" is a spinning camera...so not really a photo then is it?

The best thing about this place was the people. Staff was courteous but really the guests all wearing their best makes it.

This party is the one in Denver! Everyone dresses up and looks classy. A huge benefit, we rented a hotel across the street and had no midnight taxi's or Uber's.

The entertainment is the best in Denver and is on multiple floors so you can find your groove and mix it up throughout the evening. Multiple photo background options and photo booths with free photo delivery.

We'll be back again.

What a rip-off. We paid about $300 for VIP tickets which only includes entry. They oversold the event so long lines for "drink tickets" and basically nowhere to sit and rest. Another $70 spent on two plastic glasses of champagne. VIP area is open to everyone, so no reason to buy VIP tickets, what a scam! Balloons didn't drop at midnight which was a microcosm of the overall night. Worse NYE experience I've had in years and will absolutely not be attending next year. Kevin Larson has a lot of nerve attaching his name to this absolute disaster of an event. I hope this review serves as a warning to anyone reading TO NEVER EVER ATTEND THE NYE WHITE ROSE GALA.

The band was so much fun we danced all night long. My boyfriend and I got there quite early and seemingly avoided the long drink lines. The countdown balloon drop at midnight didn't happen till close to a quarter after, kind of odd. Still a fun night.

The NYE Gala was fun. I really like the opera house but I was disappointed that the NYE Gala was held in the hallways and stairwells not the actual opera house and stage.

I was also very annoyed with the staff not knowing where the bathrooms were. I asked several people and was given vague answers and IDK's.

The VIP did not seem worth it. It was just more hallways and a boring table on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The speakeasy was not VIP exclusive like I thought it was going to be. (All of which was great for me because I didn't pay for the VIP)

And $5 water bottles? Come on.

AMAZING event! The decor, the lighting, the entertainment, the interactive performance characters...outstanding. When we first walked in 'flapper' girls offered us a free drink. People really get dressed up for this Great music and dancing too. I love this venue and I can't imagine a more elegant place to celebrate with my friends for NYE.

The White Rose Gala was amazing. It was so much fun gathering our costumes and getting ready. We were thrilled to see all the entertainment. Everything from dancers, musicians, to circus type performers. We never had to wait in line at the bar. There was even a speakeasy in the basement. This is hands down the best New Year's Eve Party I have ever been too. And I have been to a lot over the years. A must Denver event.
