I’ve been organizing an annual friends trip to Big Bear for the past 14 years and counting, and none of it would’ve been possible without the awesome team at Destination Big Bear! Huge shoutout to Tim who has gone above and beyond for us year after year. He is friendly, professional, flexible, and really goes out of his way to make me feel like a valued returning customer. Our group has particular needs, and he always makes us feel taken care of. Tim just helped us lock in our winter home this season and we can’t wait to return soon!

On October, 12, 2024 we rented Destination Big Bear. We celebrated my daughter's quinceañera. Everything was more than perfect. From the beginning the staff specifically Travis, have been very friendly and professional. Best place in Big Bear to make beautiful memories.

This was our first time using Destination Big Bear. We had a truly amazing experience this Thanksgiving weekend!

When we arrived to check in to our booking, the road on both sides of the original home rental were blocked off. We circled around several times only to learn a power line had taken the power out for every home on that road, meaning even if we did get to the home, there would be no electricity and no heat in late November for an unknown period of time.

We have never booked with Destination Big Bear, and feared this random and unfortunate act would forfeit our reservation. We tried to wait about an hour to see if power could be restored to no avail, with it getting to closing time for the office. We were immediately helped by the hospitality managers at the front desk when we arrived, and after explaining our issue, they kindly allowed us to see if power could be restored, before we had to transfer our reservation. They have a 24-hour line we were able to use to quickly keep in touch during this issue.

After one more hour, and power still out on the North Shore, the hospitality managers quickly and efficiently transferred our reservation to a spectacular Vista Ridge Retreat. This home was more than we could ever have hoped for, and a huge sigh of relief after the difficulties of our travel that day. It carried all the amenities of our previous booking except a fire pit, which we quickly forgot due to the windy weather that week and the fantastic layout of this new reservation!

Our experience in this home was so peaceful, pleasant, and rejuvenating, that we hope to try again another year with the whole family, and perhaps stay through the holiday. The updated reservation was a Pet-Friendly home, so we’ll likely come back with our pet.

We have used Destination Big Bear several times. They have always given the best response times if any issues arise. Very easy to work with and flexible with booking dates. This most recent visit, they sent a maintenance tech named David S. to resolve our issues. He was super professional and hard working. Went above and beyond to check for any other issues while he was already here. Will definitely use them again.

My friend and I stayed at a lovely little cabin on Butte Road hosted by Destination Big Bear for two nights. We loved the cabin- everything from amenities to location and quality of service. We got locked out (how embarrassing!) but Brent came to our rescue promptly and even salted our drive and walkway. If you’re looking to spend some quality time near Big Bear Lake/Resort, absolutely check out Destination Big Bear.

Had a fantastic stay! Everything was great. On our second day, we lost hot water and they sent Marco out to help resolve the matter. Marco resolved the issue and got the hot water working for us again. While he was there, we were preparing to cook dinner, and the grill was not operating. He went above and beyond, and brought us another grill. Marco was extremely kind and professional, I hope Destination Big Bear knows what kind of value Marco brings to the operation. I'm on the committee for the recent DOVES event and we were so thrilled with how it turned out as the space worked out perfectly. Travis was particularly helpful in facilitating the planning of the event, including helping us with last minute adjustments that we had not anticipated, and just being very responsive any time we had questions. We will definitely be planning to book with Destination Big Bear again in the future.
