Booked this room for groundhogs day. This was the closest to Punxsutawney we could get. It was fine for the night. The prices were good and it wasn’t that far away. About a 25/30 min drive. Workers were nice, they held our room for a late check in. This motel is extremely outdated and had a strange smell, not a bad smell but just weird like your grandparents house. The room was very clean, beds were clean. No signs of bugs. The beds were decently comfortable but the pillows were terrible. Felt pretty safe here. If you are desperate for a cheap place to stay then this would be the place.

Location and service excellent. Everything else-deplorable. SAFETY: no chain on door-had been removed. I could not sleep! Advertise in office for $100 per week yet charge $100 a night online. Heat was off, no switch in site and it was freezing. Advertise WiFi and TV, the wifi has absolutely zero functionality and the TV has no signal not even basic cable. Place hasn’t been updated in about 30 years. No overhead light, no plug near the nightstand. Worst shower I’ve ever had, it didn’t get fully hot so I was frozen. Water pressure nonexistent, ladies you cannot wash your hair here don’t try there’s not enough pressure or hot water. No shampoo/wash just 2 anorexic bars of soap near sink. Towels wouldn’t wrap around a toddler much less an adult. The toilet seat didn’t even have the cover! Pillows gave me a skin reaction, turned bright red and hot on the side I laid on, had to use my own blankets to cover the pillows and slept on top of their comforter I refused to get under the sheets. Would not stay here again no matter how broke I am I will sleep in my car. The owners could at least TRY to disguise how little they care about anything other than money.

Words cannot describe the level of uncomfort experienced during our one night stay in this “motel”. We knew that this would not be great but we could have never expected this. Before booking this “motel” we read multiple reviews that said this was an adequate place to stay. That is a gross misrepresentation of conditions suffered during our stay. Upon entry into our non-smoking room we were assaulted by the pungent smell of smoke. Was this smell from cigarettes or from the microwave that smoked when used? The world may never know. The light switch did not work to turn on any lights. It only served to turn on the microwave and fridge. The blanket was riddled with holes and the pillows were flat and stained yellow. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mold and had a huge hole above the toilet where one could assume the vent once sat. There was no heat in the room. This was worsened by the wind blowing in through the partially unsealed window and door. The chain on the door had been removed, the peephole did not work, and the curtains would not shut. The lampshade was damp with a black spots, potentially moldy. The toilet and sink worked but the shower was in poor condition with spiderwebs on the ceiling and a floor stained yellow. We had to go to Walmart to purchase febreeze and a blanket to make the room livable. We even considered sleeping in the car as that might have been more enjoyable. The car certainly would have been quieter because there was yelling and people banging on doors at all hours of the night. The only pro was an absence of bed bugs. We booked this last minute for Groundhog Day and spent half the time in the room looking for other hotels. If you have any other options, I recommend taking that. Avoid this “motel” at all costs.

WORST vacation experience ever! We came from Germany to DuBois to see the Groundhog Day. So we booked a room in DuBois Manor Motel for two nights and received a booking confirmation. As we arrived at the Motel late night they told us that they have no free rooms left and so we can’t stay there.
They blamed booking.com, saying that they continued to accept bookings for the Manor Motel even though they were full. However, I don't understand why Manor Motel doesn't give feedback to booking.com when they receive a new booking despite being fully booked. So they didn't care that we had no accommodation in the middle of the night in deep winter.

Very rude staff. Very dirty room, dirty supplies, no room locks, totally unsafe. Try to find something else keep it as your last option.

Very nice gentleman at the front desk. He was so helpful and kind. He made a point to check on my daughter daily, who was in a car accident and in the hospital (the reason for our stay). The rooms were BUG FREE and clean. Nice hot showers. It is also affordable in a pinch. Close to the hospital and places to eat. The rooms were a little dated but not awful.

It was ok for a one night stay. The owner stayed up for us to arrive at midnight but didn’t turn on the a/c in our room so it was muggy and hot! The beds were fine for 3 queens to sleep 6. In the morning we asked for 2 more towels since we only had 4 and the front desk told us no. We asked for ice and they only gave us one bucket full. It would have been better if the room was ready when we got there.
