I wanted to share my experience at DuPont in case this helps other people's decisions. For several years I was part of a smaller area club, and while everybody was friendly, I had a hard time finding people to play tennis with. In my first month at DuPont, I was been asked to play more times in two weeks that I was in three years at the other club. Not only that, but the immense value in comparison is incredible. There is so much to do, so many people to play with, so many kids activities and people are very inclusive. Also, what you get for what you pay is incredible. I really struggled to make the decision to leave the other club (took me about a year to make the final decision), join DuPont and pay another initiation fee - so I hope this helps somebody else is making the same decision! My only regret is I didn't do it sooner.

Be cautious when shopping at the tennis store. I had a frustrating experience today after purchasing two rackets. Once they charged my credit card, they informed me that the printer wasn’t working and couldn’t provide a receipt. I accepted this and confirmed the amount with them twice. However, when I checked my credit card transaction on my phone, I found they had overcharged me by a few dollars. While the extra amount was small, I firmly believe I shouldn’t pay more than the agreed price. For me, it’s not about the money but the principle of fairness and honesty.

I immediately raised the issue, and the man with glasses admitted he had noticed the discrepancy after the young lady entered the amount. However, several aspects of their behavior were unacceptable:

1.The man noticed the overcharge but proceeded with the transaction without informing me.
2. Even after I double-checked the amount, neither he nor the young lady mentioned the error.
3. When I confronted them, the man displayed a dismissive attitude, simply stating he didn’t know why it happened and claiming there was nothing he could do.
4. He downplayed the issue, saying it was “just a few dollars,” which I found insulting. I explained that this was about integrity, not the amount.
5. When I asked him to consult the young lady who processed my payment, he refused, saying she was too busy.
6. Lastly, I strongly suspect they lied about the printer not working to avoid giving me a receipt and concealing the overcharge.

This was a deeply disappointing experience. In my opinion, the man with glasses should be let go immediately to protect the reputation of this otherwise respectable club.

Beautiful place for a small to medium size wedding. We attended one with about 50-75 people. Beautiful grounds and facilities indoor and out.

Had to leave membership after nearly 7 years. Tennis, Pickleball and Golf are all great, just HUGELY crowded now. The pools are lovely. BUT, anything associated with food, drink, customer service or dining is ABYSMAL. I’m talking inedible food, getting up to get your own water refills, service that disappears for over an hour and generally just horrid food. We wanted this to work but it was just awful and we had to finally cut the cord of giving away money to a place that refused to improve.

Olivia Eastburn did an extraordinary job with our Celebration of Life luncheon. The Traditional Buffett was delicious especially the garlic mashed potatoes, and the Hagley Mill Room was setup perfectly.
