Ebeling Events was an amazing partner for wedding planning and we recommend them to make your event smooth and stress-free. We signed up for a wedding package at Starling Hill (Audubon Center at Debs Park). We worked with Kim as our lead coordinator and also worked with Katie who was the associate lead and our day-of coordinator. It was easy to have a wedding package, so we didn’t have to seek out many separate wedding vendors and read tons of different contracts. We appreciated how the main essential event set-up was all in one place. Saved us so much time and energy working with these true professionals. They offered narrowed down options, which we really appreciated to save us from decision-fatigue, but if we had special upgrade requests, Kim and her team figured them out to allow for customization too. Kim was easy to reach and super helpful to handle any concerns with her many years of planning expertise. Her and her team were also fun to work with and super responsible and professional, so the actual wedding day was extremely low stress. The vendors Ebeling Events arranged for us as a part of our package were all amazing: florist, catering, bartenders, cake, DJ, lighting, rentals, decor, shuttle, and security. Kim was also an incredible resource for connecting us with outside vendors, as we hired our photographer and make-up artist from her list of recommendations and they were stellar, too. The Ebeling Events team is so talented at what they do. We were extremely impressed when watching Kim form the schedule for the day, and her ability to coach and wrangle the families at our rehearsal was legendary, too. We would have been lost and without Kim and her team. Thanks to Kim and Katie!

Kim helped us make our elopement magical. She was very professional, always made sure we got what we wanted in our price range. During our initial talk, I didn't have any idea about what kind of ceremony I wanted. I only mentioned "fall colors" and she just somehow knew what I imagined in my head and made it real. On our wedding day, the weather was so horrible that the roads were closed but she found a back up place -at the last minute- closeby to make our ceremony possible, and that place was amazing as well! All of the vendors she works with have been tasteful too, we were complimented on all of our choices - decoration, cake, location, bouquet, photography - by our guests, and we couldn't have arranged them without the help of Kim. I am forever grateful and I would recommend her to anyone who wishes to organize any event in Malibu. On top of all that, she is very friendly!

I reached out to Kim with an idea and vision and with only a few days of notice. She provided ideas for spots of interest that would be perfect for a beach proposal. I initially preferred a Saturday but she suggested a Sunday instead to avoid the busy rush and I’m glad I listened to her. The picnic was beautiful and my fiancé was more than surprised and we both had tears of joy once I placed the ring on her finger. Kim captured a beautiful video of the whole thing but she also found me a great photographer by the name of Angel that capture everything beautifully. I highly recommend Kim as she perfectly planned everything. She provided us with some sparkling wine as enjoyed the sunset. My fiancé and I are still reliving that special moment and I thank Kim and Angel so much for making it perfect for us!

Kim was an absolute pleasure to work with, she is professional, timely and has a great eye. She set up an amazing beach location where I proposed to my then girlfriend. The arrangement of the flowers, light and marry me sign was so beautiful as the sun was setting. I wouldn't change a thing about it and I would strongly recommend Kim to anyone!

If I could give zero stars, this is one business that I'd give it to. Our wedding occurred in October 2022 and we had an absolutely terrible experience with Kim / Ebeling Events as our wedding planner. Kim was incredibly unprofessional throughout, and it was clear that she did not prioritize our wedding day from start to end.

Throughout the planning process, Kim was unresponsive and disorganized, often leaving us feeling like our wedding was not a priority and ultimately adding an extensive amount of stress to the whole process. We had to constantly follow up with her to ensure that tasks were completed and details were not overlooked.

During our final venue walk-through, Kim began bad-mouthing another bride/client of hers (who was having her wedding at our venue) to my husband and parents. Kim continued to divulge that she also purposefully gave a ridiculously overpriced quote to a desperate bride that reached out to her at the last minute so as to discourage the bride from hiring Kim's team since she "really did not want to work that wedding." We were shocked and appalled at the behavior and quite frankly, at the pride that exuded from Kim in giving a potential client / desperate bride such a hard time. All of this made us deeply uneasy about working with Kim but we felt stuck with her since we were one month out from the wedding.

Two months before the wedding, Kim offloaded us onto one of her associates for our actual wedding day. We understand that lots of wedding planners do this. However, this was an issue for us only because Kim assured us that she would personally be working our wedding when we initially interviewed her for the job months beforehand. We felt bait-and-switched but at that point, we had such little confidence in Kim's reliability that we didn't push back. After meeting our assigned coordinator over Zoom one time, we were warned that we were not allowed to reach out to her until the day of the wedding. We were forced to continue to liaise only through Kim. Believe it or not, Kim's communication only got spottier and she became even more difficult to reach leading up to the wedding.

At one point, we also opted to pay Kim's team to set up our dessert table. After a lot of back and forth insisting that her team could only set out our cake at the exact time we were cutting it, Kim snapped and said that her team needed to focus on the job they were hired for that day. Kim ended up apologizing on the phone for snapping at me because she was going through a personal issue. I can sympathize with an off-day but her overall poor attitude and communication beyond just that day is not excusable. Our caterers heard about our situation and said "no problem, we will set out your cake and treats for free since it'll take us 10 minutes." I can't stress enough how our other amazing vendors filled in the gaps left by Kim.

On the day of the wedding, Kim's team forgot to set out the table numbers we rented from her, which caused confusion and frustration among our guests. When we brought this to Kim's attention afterwards, she didn't apologize for the error. Instead, she blamed that there was a lot going on that day, even though managing the event is literally her job. Our entire team of vendors hustled to make our day seamless and my maid of honor had just one comment about our coordinators-- "where were they? I think I saw your coordinator only a handful of times sipping on some lemonade and relaxing."

If you look at all my other wedding vendor reviews, you'll see that we gave everyone five stars. Run for the hills when it comes to Ebeling Events and Kim. Even our venue owner called working with Kim a nightmare and did not want to see her working at his venue again. We were left feeling like we wasted our money on a service that was not delivered as promised, and that we had to deal with unnecessary drama, unprofessionalism and incompetence throughout the entire process. Overall, the experience was extremely stressful and dissatisfactory, and we would never ever recommend Kim / Ebeling Events to anyone.

I've had the pleasure of working with Kim and her team more than once. To say she's an incredible wedding planner is an understatement. Each event she's planned has been seamless, with each and every detail planned thoroughly. In addition to her planning skills, she's incredibly kind, is very responsive, and is a pleasure to work with on the day of an event. My favorite thing about her is that she gives your wedding day 100% of her attention so you can have the peace of mind knowing that on your wedding day, you are the most important thing to her. You definitely don't get that with any other wedding planner. I'd highly recommend using Kim and her team for your wedding day!

Kim was on it from the first time contacted her regarding planning our proposal. I wanted to do something intimate but the logistics were somewhat complex. She handled all of it (including arranging for a photographer) and was very communicative through the process. Even though we had some issues with the unpredictable weather she was very flexible and the whole thing was very memorable for us!

Where do I even begin! Kim did the most amazing job planning and coordinating my wedding. Throughout the whole process she always kept me calm and confident and took all the stress off my plate. She found me the most amazing vendors who helped her pull off the perfect fairytale night. Everyone has been nonstop raving about her and her team since the wedding. Every vendor throughout the planning process kept telling me not to worry and that I’m in the best hands with Kim, and they were right 🙂 Can’t thank her or recommend her enough!!
